Waist Gear Graphics

This news makes me sad. I like to dress my alts up in the "coatee" outfits. One I want to be wearing the little apron...the other I absolutely do NOT want to be wearing the apron.

:C Now my alt will be FORCED to look like its wearing the apron?? LAME!!!!

Maybe they should just make the merged waist gear graphic be removable?? Like how they plan to make hood graphics adjustable??

'Cause SOMETIMES the belts look good with the tops...but MOST of the time, I kind of actually hate them. So I'd personally rather they just COMPLETELY invis the graphics, or make them being displayed on their corresponding tops to be OPTIONAL.

But.... what will the belt graphic be for many of the items out there. Will the coatee even have a belt graphic? Should they even take the belt graphic away from all belt/gear combos? Hmmmm

Coatee's corresponding belt is the apron. Many pieces of gear have 'matching' belts, even if you have not personally figured out what they are.

But as I said, I honestly hate how most of the belts look, and would rather they get rid of the graphics entirely than force me to wear them when I'm not even wearing the belt.

Another one of those things they are cutting to save resources (spend more time on other things, and also likely to keep resources down on the PS3 while not creating too many differences between PC vs PS3).

If they ever add em back It would be cool to have the option of either or. Belt over your robe, tightens your robe, belt under your robe (pretty much invisible). Pants over boots, boots over pants. ect ect

Well I'd like them to make the auto-display be optional. Like 'hood up, hood down', if the belt is gonna be merged with the top, I'd like it to be toggle-able like hoods are supposedly going to be eventually. So I can either display the belt graphic or not.

I'm not too happy with the removal either. I liked how different belts made the same gear look slightly different, now even after huge discussions about how we don't want to look like everyone else (vanity slot discussions), SE decides to do the only possibly right thing there is to do - make us look alike even more.

The quality of this game is starting to look like death by a thousand cuts.

I'm just glad the belts can now have the same color as the rest of the outfit. Now I can wear the coliseum gear and equip a belt and have the graphic show up correctly. I'm actually excited about this change.

I am glad now when I wear my coliseum gear the skirt will show :) As it stands now I have to remove the waist to see it >.< However I do like some of the belts with the swimsuits...

Since they claim the removal is so the art/design team can design better gear, I am glad for this. Most of the gear in 1.0 is bland and I don't care for the potato sack clothes look xD

I'm a bit split on this...

If it's "Removed to make better gear" like when they removed the good animations...then I'm not happy. If they actually make better gear (Not flat .jpg belts on your gear) then I'm good with it.

And nothing of value was lost... Onto the next topic!

AF gear already works like this. Sounds less like a resource issue as many are stating and more of a design decision as exactly described in the notes.

As I mentioned on BG forums... I was thinking to myself last week "This cobalt belt looks really stupid with this armor... wish it worked like AF gear where it just covers it."

SE delivers. Thank you!

They could have just added a /display belt off, while also having a default belt attached to body piec to help fashion victims.

I will definitely miss seeing the unique look to all the belts. The little puches and I think bottle swaying back and forth, when you move. :( Ah well.

I'm pretty sure the chest piece will be getting its own belt. You just cant pick your own this time, so if you dont like the one given too bad lol.
