Killing Atomos, Just my server or?....

Did everyone really stop killing him, cuz no one seems to bother from what ive seen.

Why would anyone continue you kill it? Everyone has capped seals and every single GC item.

It was pretty dead today on masamune, couldn't get any wins when i tried.

Thanks i guess ill try checking it out again, im low on anima... i cant be the only one.

Not really, a 60k hamlet run gives you max anima instantly.

Not on my server, standing here now been killed 5 times and he still isnt at 50%.. this is the normal on my server.. rarely does he get killed anymore.

I dont like Hamlet, I dont like Caravan.. I actually enjoyed Atomos but because SE hit the nerf hammer without giving any other reason for people to kill it, like I said in a post over a week ago I knew this would happen.. now its a crapshoot if you will be part of a group that kills him..

Not everyone got a chance on the gravy train but SE didn't seem to care.

On Hyperion, depending which prime time.

EU and NA prime time, no chance to kill it. (best 50% hp down)
JP prime time, chain 2 at 3 atomos.

just EU and NA players are not enough on the fight.
+ please stop afk/watching and not dd him.


Maybe we just need a nerf on Atomos damage who are quite big for players (1 or 2 shots with AoE, impossible to deal with)

I went to deliver some leves in bluefog yesterday and it still seemed pretty crowded.

What? You stand there, click a button, and get a massive amount of seals. There is no train to ride. Unless your internet has been broken for the last month it's kind of hard to miss something that doesn't actually involve you having to do much of anything.

Its just stupid that people stopped, it was something new and now everyone is done even tho hes still here? I thought it was something special for once but guess not, The entire FFXIV community in this game just seems lame to me.

Yea, its pretty dead on Aegis.

Still pretty active on Sargatanas, and especially during JP peak time -- but not only with JP players (most of the /say around Atomos is in English).

Perhaps silly, but our LS often fights Atomos hoping for Quick because it is extremely helpful during Hamlet runs.

The Japanese actually know how to work as a team to finish this thing off.

The trick is to have a few crafters stunning Atomos right before his huge magic burst when he glows red. If you can get a decent stun rotation going he can be finished off quite easily. When my friend and I went during NA prime time to get some anima in between a Garuda run we noticed that there were enough players and no crafters. We proceeded to switch over to a crafting class and pretty much sealed the win for the people who were there. Atomos is useless if his burst attack is stunned. If you let him shoot that thing off you'll spend more time dead than alive and most will give up.

The only difference between now and then is that people actually have to work for it, which means that very little people will actually do it because the FFXIV community is chock full of the laziest group of players I have ever seen. If you take the initiative and start coordinating you can get it done! Good luck!

I noticed this too earlier tonight.. however it seems no one wants to invite and heal crafters.. and since we cant take hits from his minions its a lost cause

Even among Japanese players (unless friends or within the same LS) very few people form parties for fighting Atomos. Yet we have quite a few crafters throwing rocks at him.

If there are enough people around you can stand in the middle of a large group and should be largely safe from his minions.

You could also buff yourself before the fight then switch to crafter.

And since crafting stats don't matter, you can wear high defense gear (Lv 50 GC garb for instance) for better survivability.

But ultimately, you just need a lot of people there to do this fight otherwise it's kind of hopeless.

I never see anyone killing him anymore on Ragnarok, at least not during my primetime which is PST evenings.

Ignore the trolls and bronies, OP. Their opinion is worth about as much as dust in the wind.

The reason people did Atomos initially was to cap out seals and buy GC items. Then they nerfed it so you got crystals instead, which people slaved over to sell for pretty good gil (I know I did). Then it got nerfed -again- and the effort to income ratio dropped and people lost interest.

Basically, people are shallow money-hoarders ingame and don't do content when it doesn't fluff their pockets. XI people did the same. "Content for fun? What's this 'fun' you speak of? I only know epeen and profit." sums it up nicely.

And what few people you DO see out there are just waiting for others to kill it. Mostly JPs do this.

Just go there at JP time and you should be able to get enough people as long as your server is active.

they nerfed the shit out of atomos drops.

people needed 1-3 weapons. they got them already.

I doubt most people got all items available, but they at least got what they needed.
So farming atomos after the fixes is hard work for something you don't need.

Atomos right now on my server.. less than 15 people here... died 2 times already just going to the camp

There is some activity on Masasume at JP prime time apart from that it's very quiet

Hm... It seems that now JP prime time is the only period Atomos is doable on many servers.

In ARR when we have regional servers, I wonder how the non-JP servers will fare?
Will the community become large enough and cooperative enough to make these sorts of events possible?
