I would love calls. Alot of times when im waiting for a party to fill up it takes 2-4 hours and i dont mind waiting but id like to be able to just turn my sound on and go lay down on my couch and watch tv or play a game on one of my consoles.

Calls are definitely useful when a player goes AFK too long, or falls asleep, or if you're in danger but your stupid WHM isn't paying any damned attention. :3

Why not? But with an option to disable incoming <call>.
I'm not always in the mood to have my ears blown off.
No need of a timer or any kind of delay, a simple adjustable/mute volume option is sufficient and would allow people to customize it to their liking.

That's what I would do.
And if, for any reason, the mute option is not there, I'll simply turn ALL game sounds off and put my own music.
I already do that sometimes. So, calls still wouldn't work on people who truly are AFK for a good reason and don't want to be disturbed or annoy everyone in the house. -

Remember how useless the Strategy guide was for FFIX? You only got half of the info on bosses and areas and if you wanted to know where everything else was you had to log into play-online.

Calls yes please! call mute? no thanks or else what's the point in having calls? some people need their attention grabbed in this way. if someones real life situation has taken them from the game for extended time then they should have the courtesy to exit the group/log or whatever. you are dealing with other people's time as well here, it's not like you can just pause and do whatever for 20 min. so if you're in the kitchen eating a samich, and the group is ready they should be able to hit that call and grab your attention. I miss my call 12! Samurai Gong power when it's time to skillchain..... back when we were still doing that.

too many would abuse it without mute button. I vote for calls if we also gets mute, vote against if we dont. If i get a call while busy with something else, id close the game, and continue what i was doing, then log back on when done. This is the internet, you are 100% certain to get troll calls MANY times.

if hes gone for 20 minutes, kick him and find someone else. too many will call random people for a laugh. -
