Nov 1st to Nov 11th. Whats in store for us?

I was reading the billing post and noticed that no character progression will be saved after the first of november but the game will still be active until the 11th.

Myself and a couple of people in my LS were just joking around about things that could happen during this timeframe. Such as, meteor strikes falling to the ground, mob behavior being changed drastically, primals running around the land just causing havok. The possibilities could be endless.

What does everyone else think? (Be creative) lol..

I would like to think that SE has some game destroying fun for us but it just could easily be nothing.

- The most of npcs will leave the cities to find refuge in the caves/underground;
- Monsters will escape crazly around the areas and also the most aggressive ones will not aggro anyone because in fear;
- Meteor swarms will fall everywhere and there'll be chances to hit adventurers around with 9999 damages;
- Many Aetherythe Crystals will collapse;
- The "dramatic" remixed ANSWER track will play.

That about sums it up, and what a way to end FFXIV 1.0, There are certain things I will miss from that version... but ARR is going to bring more to the table that 1.0 will be a distant memory!

I hope we can have Dalamud crash into our face e.v.e.r.y s.i.n.g.l.e d.a.y after November 1st.

After rocketing to Dalamud Hildebrand will return to Eorzea corrupted by Dalamud's power. We'll have to defeat him in a battle harder than anything we've seen to this point. When he changes phases he'll do a series of poses that you have to match. If you do the wrong emote, or if you're late on timing it you'll be hit for 9,999 damage.

So Crysta he'll be the Raven Reborn?

During this period I am going to attempt a 5 meld on every piece of gear I own.

It's my hope that some time between now and server shut down the beast's hiding in the .dats are unleashed upon the world

Whats up for me will be playing other games. Wish Sim City was going to be out sooner tho, that would have been perfect timing.

We will get 100% drop rate of all weapons on all primals... just as a sick joke from SE.

Maybe give everyone ridiculously overpowered weapons/armor or something? Like an FFXI Kraken Club-type weapon for each class, armor with crazy stat boosts, etc. Then we could see how much easier it is to do Ifrit Extreme/van darnus or what have you.

But man, I seriously hope our community reps are seeing all of these "post-November 1st" threads with all their crazy ideas and passing them along to the devs. If some of these things were to happen I would actually play during those 10 meaningless days XD

Minigame similar to dodging lightning strikes in FFX but change it to meteors?

Now THAT would keep me occupied for 11 days!

Its only too bad they didnt wait until the end of the Mayan calendar to "end the world" could have been a fun thing to do. I do hope they do a one time live event of dalamud being destroyed by Erozea fighting back.

The first image is said to be something coming out of the ground, not crashing into it. my theory on that is this is what destroys dalamud before it destroys all of erozea. but in doing do it still rains down catastrophy. (possibly the crystals firing on dalamud?)
The second picture looks like it is a major impact, could be from a large piece of Dalamud colliding with erozea. I also like some of the other ideas of meteors crashing to the ground, NPC's leaving the cities, and other chaos taking place from the 1st-11th

I hope SE dumps aggressive level 90+ mobs in the cities.

Four or five months of downtime.

With the way things are going right now with the elementals and cactaurs appearing, (I think things are going to get worse)
I think meteors like from the van Darnus fight should just be falling non-stop and at a much faster rate after the last save point. People would have to scurry about to try not to be hit while doing whatever it is they're doing.

This is what's going to happen.

I do hope they have some kinda special event, similar to the video. I want to see the climax to the story. :(


On a side note/silly note, I hope they fill all the RMT camp places with 60+ agressive mobs that are sight/scent aggroing. Or just atomos spawning will do.

Also, something I never noticed. The "Fate of Eorzona" video, pause it between late 13-early 14 - the sword-like things are impaled all over. And ontop of that, they're the glowing blue things in it(Noticed this before)

We are getting a special event, Yoshida mentions it in this letter. Not sure why some people are thinking that nothing will happen.

Would definitely love for a music change world-wide to convey the chaos. That late in the game, we shouldn't be able to go into Ul'dah, Limsa, or Gridania, and have it start playing the cheerful peaceful music.
