Atomos: Don't Just Stand There!

So it seems now we have a growing number of players wanting to participate in the Atomos Event by simply hanging back on their chocos waiting for others to make the kill, then they can hop off their mounts and swoop in and grab the Voidstone.

This disgusts me. If you want the Voidstone, perhaps get off your damn high horse and contribute to actually killing the damn thing so we can all benefit?

You know who you are. Quit being lazy little Cartmans and put in some freaking work.

Or is actually playing the game just too much work?

PLayas PLayas... either deal with it, WIN, DIE w/e or Boycott the whole event when you see loitering going on. Besides, I think Atomos spawns more adds (I think), they will eats your brains! XD

Should program the adds to attack those who are on mounts or havent attacked.

Atomos, don't just stand there! Dance to the groove! Get out on the dance floor! Don't be shy, lots of people like giant gaping mouths!

Well they could change it to where the more you contribute, the more you get out of it (like Campaign Battle in XI). That would motivate people more.

FTR, I don't hop off my bird until the thing stops moving. I'm not chasing it on foot. Then I spam Stone/Aero ftw. :D

Most of the time I do fight, although there are a few times I haven't (tp too late, died etc) and then shouts start coming from people to "get off your ass" - now apart from those who have legit forgot seriously what good is these shouts!?

Maybe if SE could fix the Atomos lag a lot of people seem to get so they can at least get a hit in!?

reason we need world groups for stuff like this and rewarded as individuals more people better rewards for all. right now the game has alot of restrictiveness to everything.

Man you guys let Neomarl get to you way too much. No amount of logic/trolling/bashing will ever stop someone from trolling. Just don't give it attention or response. Also ya, the atomos leeching will be there people leech whenever they can.

I fell the contrary, people participate pretty well (Masamune). I was surprised to be even revived by someone not from my team... that was really unexpected so I now do the same and the event always go smoothly for everybody

The sense of cooperation around the Atomos event has, I feel, been fairly good. I have also gotten and given raises to strangers -- and I make it a point to remember those who have been helpful.

That's not to say there aren't leechers. If someone has that mentality there isn't a whole you can do or say to change their poor ethics or habitual poor judgment. Just remember and avoid them. What goes around comes around.

I like finding random people to Raise myself, but I've stopped doing it around Atomos camps because for whatever reason there always seem to be a few people who just lie there dead and won't accept it. I could understand if they were waiting for Atomos to pop so they could return/teleport and grab a look at the Voidstone but they just don't do anything! /huh :S

On the subject at hand - it would be nice if there were no leechers, but I'd rather have informal group events like Atomos fights with leechers than have everything locked to the usual 4-8 member parties. Also there have been times when I've been able to see the fight happening in the battle log but Atomos hasn't loaded yet on screen. I can't hit what I can't target :)

I would say that the Atomos event was a lot unfair to new players, so I think it was fair of SE to allow these type of players to benefit not leech the event. Lose some win some in my book.
