Coming in 2.0™
Keeping getting the items you want and you won't have to worry about it lol, if you're waiting to the last minute you'll probably miss you chance.
Why do you need this list so bleeping bad?
Here's your abridged list, again:
All Dated items and crafting materials used only in dated recipes
All primal weapons
all items obtained from temporary 7th umbral era events e.g. the atomos event and imperial event and the 7th umbral era quest line
*and probably all Skirmish Weapons
I agree with Alhanelem.
Is there any pieces of equipment or items that you're worried about?
I think the list will only tell you unobtainable items. I dont think they are actually gonna delete anything
Tbh crafting recipes are what I'm interested in, in sitting on the rabbit kabutos and dream materials
Yes, they did in fact state no items were being deleted- only that items, like the ones I listed, would become unobtainable.
They also mentioned dated items (the old xmas/new years synths are essentially dated) may become U/U per Live Letter and we already know those recipes will be taken out of the game.
What evidence do you have they're removing the ability to obtain primal weapons?
Edit: Because I was interested, from the Live Letter yesterday, Reinheart was kind enough to translate some of it. Specifically, look at:

So, they won't disappear completely, but we want be able to fight those three after 15 minutes.Quote:
A: First of all, please be aware that the main scenario and the Seventh Umbral Era aren't really the same thing. Players who start after 2.0 should be able to experience the former.Quote:
Q: Will new players who start playing after 2.0 get to experience the current main scenario? Also do they get to challenge instanced raids and primal battles that are available now?
Regarding instanced raids, they will basically remain as it is and they'll be carried over to 2.0. Now with the primal battles, some plots are connected with the Seventh Umbral Era. I say that there is a good chance their appearance may change in 2.0. Some will remain the same, some won't. So basically, the current game balance and the current reward will only be available now. Some of those items already exist.
Which makes sense as you only get the primal achievements for defeating them in hard mode and not in their easy form.
Actually, as long as they do go through with Level Sync and Level Caps, capping the easy at 25 would still be a challenge for the recommended party so it could still give an achievement for it.
Just because the primal fights in their current form are going does NOT mean that the weapons will not become obtainable by a different means, such as NEW primal fights. They haven't actually told us what is happening to the primal drops, which is what is frustrating. There are two theories running around, each as likely as the other.
We have been seeking clarification on this point from the reps for months now.
Hopefully it'll only be 7th Umbral Era event items.
People are trying, but not everyone can get all the items they want before the shutdown date. The list would at least show where your priorities should be so that you don't waste time prioritizing items that are going to be obtainable in 2.0 over items that are being discontinued.
That's why getting this list sooner rather than later is so important.
Just assume anything you want is grounds for unobtainability.
SE has confirmed that primal fights will still be in 2.0 both world fight and instance on demand fights, they will however obviously change the context of the fights.
I dont think they should or "have" to remove primal weapons. Though I'm not sure how they would reintroduce the moogle fight.
The current primal fights as we know them are being removed. Therefore, you won't be able to obtain the rewards form them.
The related achievements are also being removed. While the primals themselves won't be gone, the battles will be different and I doubt that they will have the same rewards.
Removing primal weapons would be a silly idea.
They are adding in all primals they can (as said by Yoshida) - and they have primal items for the new primals. They would be stupid to create an inconsistency in primal gear if the primals that are changing from 1.0 to 2.0 are going to make any appearance (which we know they are - both in instance and non instance).
Just because an achievement is changing is awkward assumption that weapons will go too.
that being said its not impossible the weapons dont come back, though as I said before the inconsistency created would be a bad idea to make.
It's been officially said that you will no longer be able to acquire the primal weapons, however primal battles will still be included in the game's content.
See this is what confuses me. I cannot recall anyone officially saying this. Plenty of people regurgitating this very statement, no doubt, but I do not know the source.
I know that an official translation of Yoshi-P in a live letter talked about how the "current reward is only obtainable in the current version", but:
a) this was an on-the-fly response from many months ago that has not been replicated since; and
b) "reward" can have multiple contexts, such as the emotional reward, the loot system or even the way a chest spawns, and may not be referencing all of these.
Which is why we are seeking clarification on what is considered an arguably unclear translation giving rise to confusion.
Blanket statements based on player assumptions don't help.
I find it hard to believe that they would just stop the current primals from dropping weapons.
• Weapon models will be made for 2.0 to accommodate those with them
• Primal fights will still be available (altered story arc, most likely)
• New primal fights are being planned
• New primal weapons are in the works (one confirmed, so far)
I know they want to make legacy members feel special. Taking content out -- just because, just seems like a waste of resources to me. I can understand the white ravens earring no longer being available, because that fight will be leaving permanently. The primals are here to stay, I see no reason to disable drops for fights that are going to be in the game anyway.
The only way I could justify that would be to make new weapons. Which would be redundant.
Santa set and kabuto helmet got new recipes since they changed all the recipes. Because of this they are not dated gears.
You should can craft them in 2.0 if you have the event mats (the mats you only got during the event like the red kabuto mask)

This~
Also why would they want to stop new players from getting the primal weapons? I'm pretty sure they aren't intended for 1.0 players only.. and isn't that sort of punishing the newer players?
It won't be doing the game justice by limiting end-game even more, and giving out too much exclusives for people who played in 1.0.
We have a permanently reduced subscription.. that should really be enough.
Edit: There has been no official statement as to what is happening to primals. There's a reason why we're still asking.
Making a list of unobtainable items: 6 weeks+
Destroying communities formed over the past 2 years: 1 hour
At least they have their priorities straight!
I would like to know if we'll still be able to obtain Darklight gear in 2.0.
as far as we're aware thy're not removing the raids, so yes you will.
