Wow..... i use fraps and i could have gotten a lot of LS fails on tape, i have some of HMs if whoever posted that on youtube needs em, u can make fun of us to.... we ran with 30+ people every NM night, we even brought rank 20s, but im sure it'll make u laugh, sorry dips, whoever did that, just isn't right

yeah i have seen it when we had 8 people fighting him in moscow and 5 of us was mages and we was pretty low rank, was funny shit, it didnt kill me so i turned fraps on ran up and smaked it, it hit me for something like 9999 lol

It wasn't meant to start 'more' Drama. Uraeus is NM training camp though. So I'd expect an "ENDGAME LS" to kill this with 5 people in 20mins.

Just saying.

Is there any LSs I should be looking up that I haven't yet? I don't want to be with nobs

Pretty fail video. 8 people should be more than enough to take down Uraeus, Kinda funny cause half of those people where talking smack in town like 2 hours before. But yea I guess anything can happen when fighting the almighty Uraeus.

It wasn't it was to show more of what I'm not looking for in a LS. Not meant to bash them specifically, although I guess that happened unintentionally.
Who is the linkshell that is watching them fail? They seem to be pretty tight looking.

yeah im not part of that LS, but it came off wrong, these forums have been nothing but people fighting, then i saw a thread made witch looked like it had all intention of fighting, just odd, and there are a lot of good shells out there, Pink, Grey Wardens, Hotel Moscow i can metion just cause im from there, there are alot more to, just not saying them cause im not apart of them, dips are a great LS from what i have seen, just cause they got on vid dieing to an NM (like we all have here and there) doesn't mean they are not a great end game LS.

I can partially explain that video, though.

See, earlier in the evening a certain member of the dips was in Ul'dah while we were gathering, and they were engaged in some pretty inflammatory trash talking directed at our LS. This video is, in short, saying "O RLY?" to the dips.

Agreed, Lil Baller. We have all wiped one time or another to a NM.....about 2 months ago, :o I love the vent talk in the background. This topic as some laughs in it for sure, other than the obvious.

When did Uraeus rage on us? I know it wasn't the other night when I was on, we 8manned him successfully, although it started alittle sloppy but that is a given after 2 weeks of not playing.

Dude.

There is a big difference between raging it and wiping on like your 1st try with peeps under leveled and having to claim against another LS. You were just unlucky that your only tank died while 1st claiming it and support didn't arrive in time.

Also, you guys at least acknowledged it wasn't really thought out. Especially with the amount of trash talk Dips has been spouting recently you'd think everyone would be on their A game when they had someone watching. I don't know about you guys but I always thought you were suppose to trash talk after you owned the NM, not while half-way wiping and raging. Trying to say another LS is worse than you while mages are getting hit by breathe moves and archers are getting hit by body slam isn't convincing. A 25+ minute Uraeus fight isn't something to be proud of.

Dips either didn't know it could rage, or something crazy happened (people DC'd out) because I don't know about you but I would rather run away and risk losing the reclaim than to wipe in front of another LS.

Yeah everyone can screw up once in a while, and dumb things happen (like PT leaders dying and returning to another zone so mob can't be claimed LOL).

It's just... There is a difference between screwing around with someone and having an outright unprovoked vendetta against them. If anyone is hating, it's certain members of Diplomats who feel the need to stir up trouble.

We were actually talking about it as Uraeus was being fought, and the smack talk was in progress, but yup.

Dips has always been low on the DPS side. That's our achilles and will be until we convert our glad and mage glut to DPS jobs. Right now we live and die by battle regimens. Only way for us to smoothly kill NMs. Other shells seem to just ranger rangers on their rangers like they learned to in FFXI, and unfortunately it works better than any real tactics just like in FFXI. Do I respect that kind of fad job kill? No. Not when relying on crutch and fad jobs is used as a surrogate for skill.

So we show up and see one shell fighting the great buffalo this week. 4 rangers just spamming crap on it, it's trapped in a rock and not even hitting the tank. Is that the skill we're supposed to be looking for?

We show up to dodore and see another shell with eyes all over the place, facing every which-a-way, running back and forth and back and forth to the crystal, dodore dies because the only stable thing in this whole Benny Hill circus is a gladiator, two rangers, and a conjurer on dodore...then the whole team just chickenwusses it out of there when dodore goes down. Is that the skill we're supposed to admire?

Marauders in cowls at great buffalo. How about that skill?

Low-manning isn't about skill, let's cut the pretenses here. We have better gear than most other endgame shells. Somehow, and this is really the odd thing, we wear appropriate gear to the fights. We use better battle regimens. We put on more incpacitations. But our job mix is not good, and it shows.

Some of our members deserved to eat that crow, yes. We clearly aren't as good a performance shell as some of them insisted. But don't act like it's a skill issue. Federation of Windurst can bumble through Uraeus with no regimens, no defined tank, and dropped protect and shells and didn't rage it. We fought it like a smooth machine and it raged. Skill is not determining the outcomes of these fights. Rangers are.

1 glad 3 rangers and 2 conjurers can whip our 8 man team thoroughly, no matter how poorly they play or how well we do. We know that. You all know that.

Too many mages. Too many gladiators. And some **** talkers that just got pwned. Now we only have two issues to work on.

The fact that archers do more damage than gladiators is not an imbalance. It's the way SE designed them. Is the fact that gladiators can take more damage than archers also an imbalance?

I didn't say archers were imbalanced because they damage more than glads, strawman. I said the setup was imbalanced because we have too many mages and gladiators, and archers are imbalanced because they out-DPS marauders lancers and pugs by at least 30%. If you rely on 3 and 4 archers to kill your NMs for you, you're not skilled. You've got a high golf handicap. Sam sam sam brd brd cor-getters.

What I'm saying is that skill has nothing to do with any of this. If we're doing something wrong, then it's just wrong done well. I don't know. I'm not a part of our deficiency because I'm not a DPS yet. Maybe we need to drop emphasis on battle regimen if this setup should have been done better. None of the DPS are poorly equipped. It's got to be one of the most boring 30 minutes in the game, as no tanks died until they were hit for 9999 and it switched targets maybe once.

What am I going to do, throw in a 55 damage profundity when it's up? Maybe we need to scrap the way we damage altogether. We lose a lot of DPS just waiting on regimen stragglers.

This is my opinion based on my observations, and I'm hardly an expert, but I think there was a lack of planning and communication amongst the mages, because they were overcuring and overbuffing, and they could have been contributing to the DPS a bit more. That's either poor planning or a lack of faith in the tank's HP pool.
