I dunno...I love Gangnam Style, but I hate pop culture in games. Some Easter Eggs that lie within the publisher's confines (see: other FF games) are fine, but otherwise, they really destroy the atmosphere of the game. If I wanted a game laden with this kind of stuff, I'd play any other F2P or WoW or something else. SE should have a bit more class than that.

I mean, I almost Falcon Pawnched the f**k out of my monitor when I learned that Jehantel retired from the Gods' Quiver because he 'took an arrow to the knee.' >.>;;

I'm sure there are some in JP maybe, but I can already tell the difference between English and French version of the game and the level of "recent pop culture" is way lower in latest.

There are some references yes, but it's more things that traveled through time and that any average person would understand. Not forced meme that stay on the internet for couple of months to few years at best.
