yukes new race for ffxiv?

Or moogles which do you think will be choosen?

Err or we juste keep the one we have now.

Let's hope that Yukes aren't. They look terrible and they're from terrible FF games.

Yukes look horrible.

Yukes would actually be pretty cool. Aside from Ivalice races, they are pretty unique. I also disagree with the fact that they are form bad FF games. Crystal Chronicles was actually pretty awesome, despite the fact that you had to play multiplayer with GBAs. :/

Would be awesome if it were true, but I doubt it.

I'm all for having to keep proximity to the bucket in XIV 2.0

There's nothing wrong with the Crystal Chronicles series. Especially the DS ones were good games.

And you can't kill me until pvp comes out, but even then, that wont happen. :p

I liked them too, but I don't think they would fit well in FFXIV, not that this was a serious thread anyway.

The Crystal Chronicles series are some of my favorite FF games out there >.> and Kumi Tanioka is one of my favorite composers <3 the sound track from crystal chronicles... anyone hating is probably just a FFX fan or a kingdom hearts fan D= (no taste)

That's right, Kumi did the music for the DS CC games (not sure about the others)

I'd love for Yukes to be added (though I don't realistically expect anything like that - but hey, I could post "the sky is plaid" and somehow turn it into a 6+ page topic on these forums), but...one thing kind bothers me about that. How in the world would they handle head equips?

Kumi did the original G-Cube CC game one of the most inspirational sound tracks in my life o.o; <3 <3 <3 it should of had her work on a track or two for FFXIV would of made me very happy x3

I can see them pulling off yuke like they did in FFCC Crystal Bearers where the Yukes were like disappeared from the world and had their own separate area where they kept out of touch with everyone o.o/ I mean the Yukes are like really good with magick!~ and back on my other note If you have not listened to the FFCC soundtrack you should its amazing o.o-b though mixing Crystal Chronicles with Final Fantasy 12 with other kind of genre FF games would kinda clash story wise x3

Some esteemed Yukes, such as Amidatellion, will even have a spare suit of armour to bind themselves to if their existing armour is fatally broken.

im wondering how a yuke (plate helmet) will look like when having a black mage hat on it.. no, please no..
and how will the whole armor stuff work on them as well... plate helmet onto plate helmet.

Have you ever considered that Yukes could just *switch* their armor instead of putting another piece of armor on top of it? It would be the equivalent of having lvl 1 race specific gear that can't be unequiped but can be swapped out for a different piece of gear. Easily doable but highly unlikely.

but when i understood it correctly that the yukes' bodies consist of armor then it would mean that each yuke would look the same and lose its personality when they are switching for example to DRG AF armor..

their appearance is only unique in their starting armor which you would have chosen in the char creation.

helmet = their face. helmet = personality

the shape of their body and the shape of their face is visualized through their armor.

and thats the point. how should this work? SE designing hundreds of different dragoon helmets (fitting the shape of the helmet that from the character screen) for the yuke race or what?! sorry my english isnt good enough to clarify my opinion... but i hope you get what i mean..

yagudo in armor.... your will never see his/her face. so you can't create character 'A'/

The pattern you describe is exactly what I hate about the current races (and the most popular suggestion.

I DONT WANT races that all look human. I want some unique races too, instead of just humans with cat tails, humans with elf ears, fat humans, thin humans and short humans.
