Are you serious?!
Awkward looking dragoon?
Please elaborate
If it's not one thing, it's another! Entitlement sure is awesome!
TypeZ, Hashimoto-san actually admitted that they are doing more work on the game. That footage that we saw during the talk session and Gamescom was incomplete. In the Special talk session, Hashimoto-san actually said he didn't want to show it to the public, yet.
So I'd reserve any concerns for now. Wait until we have the actual product "in hand", it'll be finished and polished I'm sure.
That's the kind of attitude that got us FFXIV 1.0, and look how that turned out. If you have feedback, let them know.
That being said, it might be best to wait until you can try it out in alpha/beta before making a nitpick like this. Not even sure what you're referring to. The animation has clearly changed.
It's stuff like this that makes the developers not want to show us anything at all. Hell, during the interview they even said they didn't want to show this build to the public because there's still a lot of changes, tweaks, and polishing to be done. Then people post stuff like this.
Really? This isn't the final build. Not even close. It's pre-alpha. Yes, feedback is important and valuable but seriously, don't nitpick about minor stuff like this. This just reaffirms the developer's fears that it's not a good idea to show players anything early like this.
en·ti·tle
[en-tahyt-l] Show IPA
verb (used with object), en·ti·tled, en·ti·tling.
1.
to give (a person or thing) a title, right, or claim to something; furnish with grounds for laying claim: His executive position entitled him to certain courtesies rarely accorded others.
I know right, it's not like we are paying for a brand name standard or anything.. oh wait.
Is this a troll post? >.> The dev team guy clearly said it is only in Alpha stage..not even close to being finished and he did not even want to show it...
Sigh lol
It's been like this ever since the SE forums opened up. 1.4, 1.4a, 1.4b, 1.5 1.6 1.7. I can't honestly say that I've had more thoughtful and insightful conversations than not here, which is sad because this is a "forum" supposedly lol.
EDIT: Sorry for derailing your topic OP, I think.. :P
I didn't find it awkward looking really, I was impressed. However, I agree with the guy who said don't do the whole "Its early, it will be polished" routine if there is something you see that you don't like. Too many of us did that prior to 1.0. If you have concerns make sure you express them.
As excited as I am for the potential of 2.0, trust needs to be earned back by SE. No more, "Its only beta I trust them to fix it by launch" excuses. They have lost the right to that trust. Lets just hope they are not egotistical like Tanaka's team where they refuse to accept criticism.
We have a whole 'nother thread on the animation.
Basically it boils down to:
"I don't like the animation."
"They're probably not done with it."
"We don't know that. They may have gotten rid of it to get rid of 'animation lag'."
"We don't know that. It's a pre-alpha."
"We shouldn't be accepting that as an excuse anymore."
"But it's literally in pre-development."
"At this point, animation should be incorporated, they already have great transitional animations from 1.0"
"Maybe they're making new animations."
And it just sort of goes on like that until someone gets bored.
