I was just walking around when I found this group of totally random named lalafell, all very similar to each other, most likely they used preset faces.

I am just wondering if they are bots, something which shouldn't exist, or are they a bunch of strange people with very strange naming sense.

They are RMT characters, groups of throwaway chars that team up to share leves and farm as much gil as possible to then sell on the market.

Thanks for the answers, shouldn't SE do something with them? Or are they going to do anything against RTMs in 2.0?

No, SE doesn't care more or less. They are all paying for subscriptions and helping pay the dev's who are making 2.0 happen.

You're paying for one active account, they're paying for HUNDREDS. And if and when they do get banned, more of them are made.

Yes, it's this thread again and there is a reason for it. He asked a legitimate question and RMT is problem.

SE has made efforts to curb RMT and has eventually had success at thsi point there isn't really any point since they basically trace regional ISP and IP loads before subnet banning latter.

Tehey are not exactly paid accounts nor helpign the game in anyway. THey purchase the game low, use 30 day trials, toss and restart.

IF they are not supproted by peopel stupid enough to risk their own accounts, information, and bank accounts, they will eventually fade in numbers.

Yesterday, I was on my way to Cedarwood from Bloodshore and saw this little Lalafell running innocently from Bloodshore to what I assumed would be Limsa Lominsa. The more RMT SE banns, the more new accounts the RMT buy again and the more money SE get. You see, SE can gain more money the more they bann them.

kinda hard to buy new accounts though since they're slowing down on sales for the original game and offering the companies that still have them to destroy those said discs...
