Will you bother to PVP?

Will you bother to PVP? I won't. I've never cared about PVP in MMO's. If I wanted to PVP id play a FPS or something.

I'll play it, but it won't be my focus.

Nope, I'd play League of Legends more if I cared for PvP honestly.

I know a lot of people who are looking forward to PvP. It means healthy endgame, since most of it is user generated content. I'm personally excited too, so long as it isn't the piece of shit that is Ballista.

They're reworking a lot of the stuff in the game for pvp, like the way they changed TP for example to be at 3000 at the start of a battle. It makes me wonder how much other consideration will be put into pvp when it comes to loot and stuff, and I wonder if it's really worth all the effort.

i'll do PVP for fun on days that there really noting else to do not it would never be my focus.

I'm interested to see how they implement PvP. However, I really want to see something with a Final Fantasy setting to it. Not just an arena, but something unique. How Blitzball felt when you first played it is what I'm getting at.

This is why I hate PvP in MMOs, the devs usually screw up PvE in favor of it.

I'll do pvp every now and then but pve is more of my forte.

Absolutely this.

I'd play blitzball, or something like it, if they put that in the game. Now there's a kind of PvP I can stomach.

Well I'll maybe try it but, I am all about PvE

I have 3 other mmos that has PvP in them i dont need a 4th, to me PvP is not part of FF games, if its not needed to get thru this game i wont mess with pvp in 14, PvPing is to much of a pain

Except, you know, this is where classes can come into play. Since classes have no real use they may be able to work them into PvP, without destroying PvE.

I'll give it a try, but I've been historically bad when it comes to anything involving PvP. I was no good in it in WoW and I suck at FPS games against other players. :P

Except they already adjusted the spell casting system and combo system because of PvP.

and nerdrage, then ragequit. but yes i'm putting a lot into pvp i hope.

Maybe if I have absolutely nothing else to do and my friends or LS mates just wants to have a huge "See who's the best" guy. Or maybe what would be cool is if they implemented a thing where instead of the leader of the LS is the person who bought the LS would be like once a month you have a huge LS fight and the winner gets to be promoted to leader? Than I might. But other than that no.

You should see me PvP in B&S... I kicked so much ass that no one wants to PvP with me anymore because I'm so called: "OP" even though I use the weakest Bo Pae in that game. lol (Yes I'm a Kung Fu Master) and yes, I will kick your asses with my monk.

If you don't want to, you don't have to participate in it. But you don't have ti disrespect or demonize or look down on people who want to do it. The fact is, many MMOs have PvP. It's not just for "fps games or something."

Yoshi-P wants to create things that every type of player can enjoy. Soloers will get their solo content, raiders will get their raid content, PvPers will get their PvP content. Everybody wins.

I'm looking forward to PVP .. should be fun.

Unless of course they continue to make sacrifices to PvE content in favor of PvP then you'll start making one side happier than the other lol, we've seen this happen a lot in MMOs, especially in recent years.

It is not at 3000 at the start of a battle. It can't be if the max is 1000.

no. never cared for pvp its why i hated wow.

yes, pvp will be one of my top focus. there seem to be a meaningful objective, and goal to it when yoshi-p mentioned frontlines. if you don't want to participate in your grand company frontline events you don't have to, I'll reap all the fame for myself.

If PVP is good I will play it a lot..I love PVP :D

What they did to casting and tp needed to be done anyway cause mages had an unfair advantage cause they didn't need to build tp for shit. with 2.0 melee wont left out cause they cant use an AoE to kill mobs super fast with the new system.

People need to stop acting like these are two isolated groups of people who can't coexist. Neither group is so entitled that it deserves a certain set amount of dev attention, making any more/less than that a sacrifice to the other side.

If the combat system is built well enough, no special considerations are required. Even if it isn't built well enough and considerations are necessary, all they'd need to do is use seperate paramters for PvP thus leaving PvE balance unaffected.

I'll probably give it a shot, but I'm a serious spaz. PvP never ends well for me.

Anyone who says they "Won't bother with it" is either lying, stupid, or both. Endgame can't be going on 24/7, It will be nice to have some content to do when your bored. Anyone saying they will never do it is lying. And it can be fun to do with friends especially.

Feel free to not do it, but while your bored staring at your monitor waiting for more linkshell members to log in so you can do the same PvE content you do every night, You could be doing PvP. Enjoy your League of Legends.
