Realm Reborns & new character?

realm will be reborn as a new game, not better create a new character to enjoy it better?

Sure you can, as people can do it with an alt. But don't expect people playing from 2 years will toss everything in the pit just because is new

Why can't we enjoy it as a person who defended Eorzea prior to the 7th Umbral Era? I'm a hero 'round these parts, I intend to make sure my home stays safe.

e been without playing one year and came back two weeks ago and I can hardly catch up, why I said if it is advisable to start again

Well I am keeping my name but I will be re-rolling to Experience it the right way and not bum rush everything :P.

I can make an alt for that

That is your decision. If you have too much to catch up on in FFXIV 1.0, then I don't see why you would have to start over in 2.0. If you want a brand new character, then go for it, otherwise, new payment plan = more characters and you can make a new one if you want to start over while you keep progress on Darko Strife.

I still have low level jobs, I'm fine! (well, I think I have archer in the 10s...)

And if not then you have still Arcanist level 1 ^^

I hope Arcanist is ready for launch, because I want to experience the new story from a fresh perspective without having to roll a new character.

Arcanist will be ready for launch, summoner will be added in the first few patches.
