Actually this error is pretty self explanatory, if a bit grammatically broken. Just swap EN in the OP's link to NA, as in my initial response. (Or whatever region your account is)

Microsoft... they're the ones with Cryptic error messages... "The thing has stopped working" Orly?

There are alpha signups for each region, JPN, EU & NA based on where you purchased your copy and when it's linked to via account.

Well I'm not surprised. As it is now I can play this game on standard settings, maybe it'll still work. otherwise I have to wait for the PS3.

I hope so, after all we were told that we would have access (maybe just the beta) can't really remember, but figured we would just be let in if we wanted in. Lets hope we can all access the beta anyway even if they only let some of us into the alpha.

Access to these tests is one of the reasons I stayed as a subscriber, well that and the fact that I have high hopes that this will make it and become the game we all wanted in the first place.

I get region is wrong reguardless of what page I use. Using an NA account in Japan.

Let's hope everyone gives good feedback, finds issues and reports them properly, and helps the game grow. They have worked their Migote tails off. There are things they need to make different from the past MMO, things silmiliar as fair as content depth and system deepth, and improve the fight system.

i actually read the whole NDA and TOS. its pretty standard compared to the last NDA i was a part of for Dust 514 i wonder if they got legal blah blah from the same places as every one else

Read the Alpha system requirements and compare them to the box of 1.xx, what stuck out for me was reccomended CPU for 1.xx is an i7, for ARR alpha its an i5 so yes they are a lot lower, my laptop may be able to run on high settings.

EDIT: Here is the minimum and recomended specs for the ARR alpha and 1.xx for comparisons:

So essentially if you can play now, you can play and chances are if you currently run on medium settings you should be able to step up to high settings the thing I have noticed is the minimum settings don't seem to have changed too much.

Applied^.^, If I recall back in 2010 there was somebody who broke the NDA for giving out alot of info from the beta, I can't pin point who it was though, and everyone was talking about him and his " Noble" deeds :P.

yep i remember him there was even a person putting a live steam of it i think it was same person you talking about.

Me and my gf playing ffxiv can only one of us sign up for alpha? we play with the same IP.

It doesn't quite work like that. There are modern day i5's (2500k) that outpace 2010 i7's (900 series)
