using key chain is inconvenient can we have app for android and ios ?

Supporting this. Wondering how long my token will still give me numbers after 2 years of hardcore use >.> (As you also need a number to unregister it if you switch to a new one)

I'd like an incentive (other than for security purposes) to get the authenticator. In ff11, you were given an extra inventory that correlates with your main invo and in a certain other mmo, I've heard you get a pet just for having that feature.

If you actually read the forum post xquiel linked it has some pretty neat information about the plans for the app. lodestone access, mail access, retainer access...

Kinda exciting in it's own right, without any specific in game perks.

Maybe so, but that might not be enough for newer players starting the game. Those just starting out are not gonna know what "Lodestone" and "retainer" mean :(

I've been using the same one since they were released for XI so that been at least one use a day -- sometimes several -- for about four years.

It would be silly to not release it for both iOS and android. I am hoping it comes out on the PS Vita should it not come on android.

Yeah Yoshi mentioned it at one of the press interviews that it would be available for ARR for both IOS, Android, Windows phones, and possibly other secure phones.

Not to mention the mog satchel in XI was a kick to the balls to anyone who didn't want tog et the authenticator, because it provided extra inventory in a game with massive inventory problems. I support the soon-to-come app. Get some XIV on my iphone.

Token have a very long life some people had there ffxi one for years if it does die you could call SE they unregister it for you and you can order a new one.
