Hey all, im here today to ask you, why do you continue to love and enjoy this amazingly improved game!!!! For me is has to be the dynamic armory system that i love, alongside with a amazing crafting system gorgeous graphics and pretty cool content:cool:

I really REALLY love how your equipment shows, like rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces. Oh and different color options for clothes...OH and that you can customize your character pretty well to represent you in-game. This game is beautiful I simply love it.

I've always loved this game, from the realism of the character movements to how bloody realistic the clothing looks, to the point where I could probably actually make the clothing. I love how big the areas seem, and I still remember my first time fishing off the cliffs of La Noscea, watching Limsa in the background with On Windy Meadows playing in the back. I really love the way our characters will look in the direction of things targeted. Just that little thing makes it feel like you're really the character.
GW2 has taught me that no matter how big the maps are, no matter how lively the game areas are or how much content there is or how well scripted the NPCs are, there's a complete disconnect from playing a character to BEING your character, and somehow I feel FFXIV does that better. I can only hope 2.0 continues this. -

that it completely plays different than any other MMO (there can be some improvements, like more fluent combat, no animation lock etc.)
But i dont know any MMO out of there which is comparable to Final Fantasy Online.
And of course the lore and setting. where else can you fight in combat against shiva etc. ;)
for me:
- unique playstyle in MMO genre
- each job/class makes fun and is amazing
- final fantasy universe
- graphics and animations
- cutscenes -

Overall my dislikes are being remedied in 2.0 and my likes are being enhanced.

What first attracted me to the game was it was a final fantasy title. After downloading the game to my pc. I was amazed by the graphics in this game. The crafting system I'm beginning to enjoy a lot more than I did at launch.

I have loved Final Fantasy since it started. FFI. It was nothing compared to XIV but at the time it was better than Cave. It inspired me to create my own games in the same style. As each new game came out I played avidly. Each game added a little more depth to the lore. By the time V came out there was a pretty well defined lore in a strange world where mountains float and spaceships have sails. There was a lot of Mario Bros hopping across chasms on floating platforms that was strange and fun. The love stories got more complex and the characters both more annoying and more interesting. The lore of souls and crystals and eidolons was intriging. This kept me hooked. Along with the beautiful music. I have been to two Final Fantasy concerts and loved them.
Then along came XI. It was a nearly open world, with limitations, and lots to explore. The story was weak, because everyone spent so much time levelling up and interacting in groups. So a lot of the feel of Final Fantasy was lost. I spent most of my time fishing. I loved pulling up a new weapon instead of a piece of kelp. I also explored the world by sneaking everywhere. It was not like Final Fantasy... it was different.
I loved XII and XIII. A lot of people say they were not as good as VII or X, but I loved them... and completed them. Doing the research and grinding to put together ultimate weapons and gear are only worth it in retrospect when you can bash a lowly boss without getting up a sweat. You are lord of the game. Much of the fun is in that lore that goes into those ultimate weapons and gear. There is also the strange flavor provided by crystal entities, lore and eidolons. Killing something releases a visible spirit that floats away or is captured by a crystal.
Those are the reasons I love Final Fantasy. FFXIV is a work in progress... much is promised. Right now I like collecting stuff and getting accomplishments. I like to follow the story line and see what is happening. I like to do my own thing. I love the music. I love the scenery. I love exploring. I enjoy helping others.
On the otherside, I miss the complex love stories, the strange interactions with crystals and Guardian Forces and the like as friends. I miss the moggles selling and fixing things and inviting you into their houses. I miss the great team games.
What's the biggest problem with FFXIV... when no one wants to help you and you need a team to do something (I think the game should fill in missing team members with NPCs). -

For me, the best in game is the music. I really love Master Nobuo Uematsu's work since I was a kid, and this game has the essence of the old Final Fantasy series, thanks to his music. All cause Uematsu was in project.
For this, i really hope that Nobuo's work will remain in 2.0. A Realm Reborn wouldn't be the same without the current soundtrack.
