Que ?
As far as I'm aware straps in Final Fantasy XIV are crafting components unlike their counter-parts in Final Fantasty XI which you could equip in the off-hand slot for additional stats
i think you mean the parts to craft a weapon. They been removed to simplify crafting, since crafting war a chinese box with all that damn parts
IIRC back in 2010 straps were equiped in the 2nd hand slot for 2H weapons
Straps were never an equippable item in this game...
Sure?
I'm sure there was always only throwing weapons.
straps was mats for leatherworker

Disappointing troll thread.
Drugs are bad, mmmkay?
go back 2 xi
Straps were offhand items in FFXI that added stats to a 2handed weapon like +Acc/Atk/Crit rate etc.
They were never in XIV.
Should they add them to XIV?
Straps were added to buff 2handed weapons because dual wielding was superior in DPS, but in XIV there is no duel wielding, also DRG and WAR don't need any more buffing.
To correct everyone in this thread - They're called grips. Not straps.
And no, they were never in XIV in any form what-so-ever.
What about strap-ons in this thread?
Well, actually, their category on the AH is simply "Grips", so 'grips' is probably the intentional catch-all term even though there are ones called straps... but it's all just splitting hairs regardless.
So yeah, you're thinking of grips from XI; straps are a crafting part in XIV and have been since day one.
