Come on Yoshi-P! I really want at least two new races to choose from.

.......You have a lot that we don't know about, and I hope the 2year development of 2.0 has some new faces so when we make over our characters we have options.

Confirmed to be new races in 2.0. Heard it here first.

If Ishgard gets invaded by strange looking "bangaa" dragonmen we will know who to blame.

I'd love for there to be atleast one new race to choose from.

well ffxiv is not ivalice, but they are some cool races(nu mou,bangaa,seeg,gria,vierra). i rather have something new also...fresh from the drawing board.

inb4 someone comes in to say WELL THESE EORZEA RACES AREN'T ORIGINAL EITHER SO WHY CAN'T WE HAVE RONSO OR RED XIII.

Bangaa or Veira would be cool.

I mean seriously if they come out with a new race under a new race under the fact that we use the job system people will be begging for rerolls.

The less races the better for me.

Means they can spend more time on diverse animations for all the current races.

People are already going to reroll because of the added genders...so a new race won't be so bad

He can always add them later like during expansions. XD

I agree with Jynx.

Less concern with new races and more concern with bringing quality to what we already have.

If you want new races, let it be the ones from the XIV world. Like the Padjal.

As someone already mentioned, those races on the OP are exclusive to their FF universe.

If he does that, he has to do ANOTHER complimentary race change for everyone.

He doesn't have to have it complimentary, it's just gonna be complimentary now because the game is pretty much being redone, like starting over. An expansion included race wouldn't be complimentary if they gave you the choice to change if you wish with a charge.

I think a moogle like race similiar to the XII ones but more unique to the XIV world, and since mog's are already in of course can't be straight moogle, but something that gives that FF feeling... I am sorry but the XI and XIV races (besides hume) don't feel FF to me at all never have.... Honestly looking back on it.... They all looked like a human either squashed stretched or mutated.... I want something unique... like the 1 or 2 crazy looking races that show up in most of the FF's as playable.

Yeah but in FFXIV Moogles are rare to come by, so making them playable wouldn't make them rare anymore. :p

the released info I read it stated that the moogles will have a greater impact in 2.0 because they are tired of sitting on the sidelines as Garlean Empires marches into Eorzea, so they are coming out to help us by being our postal service/Mognet and supposedly other things.

Agreed! ^^! I just want a more FF feel to the game, not a game so departed from the FF feel, that I lost interest in playing it for the story.

We should be getting one new race in 2.0 Have no idea what. Most likely would be the results from the player pole that everyone took and voted in on what new race they would like. I mean summoner was the winner of that and look they are going to be adding that in.

There's already at least 3 "new" races, male cats, female roes, female highlanders

Also, I'd rather see a brand new race over any race from a previous FF title.

Got news for you, value-added services like that generally cost much more than that. Good luck getting them to charge $5 if they offer that.

In all honesty, I'd love the idea of Demi-Beastmen, or something original as a new race. Demi-human, or even evil versions of Lalafell would be killer.

I bet you anything though, we'll eventually be able to play as the Seedseer.

I liked the concept of single gender / asexual races. Why does everything have to be male / female?

How bout species 8472 from star trek, they have 5 genders!

Why are people so against having beings that are so different from humans?

I so agree...let Yoshi deal with other things that actually matter more and cut him a break.

I can see Bangaa being male only and Veirra female only. :D

also they were not asexual in xiv
