I would like this question answering as well, as far as I know there would be no legal implications in at least UK, and I would imagine most of Europe at least. All I can think is the moogle toy and CDs are in US and they don't want to pay for export I want to enter.

I can't imagine, there is nothing illegal in UK against using volunteers for advertising, I stick by my theory that they don't want to pay to export the physical prizes.
