Future Primal Battles Doomtrain....how the heck are we gonna fight HIM!? hahaha

This was actually brought up in my other thread...but I thought it deserved it'd own thread since it was a different primal with a lot of different mechanics.

So...For Doomtrain...will we be forced to fight on train tracks? hahaha How do you fight a train? Especially in an mmo. By chocobo back? ;)

I know Doomtrain hasn't been announced yet, but people are awefully suspicious with the addition of train tracks. I'd personally love to see Doomtrain make it's way into the game.

Hehe, personally I think it's too much of a stretch, almost like saying we have to get Leviathan because there's water in the game ^^;

Well...Yoshi did say he wanted to add FF elements to this mmo...I know that doesn't mean Doomtrain WILL be added, but I'd say it might be possible. And who knows, maybe Doomtrain wont even need tracks. Like in FFVIII He made his OWN tracks.

Fight him on him maybe? attacking different parts of him as he speeds down the line on a countdown to your doom!

Well, we've already seen Levi for one thing, and it would be pretty cool to fight him on a boat similar to the first Sin battle in FFX. It'd be loads better than going through Sea Serpent Grotto @_@

Should launch the mission from LL's docks, where you go for Skirmish.

I didn't say anything about Levi not being there, that was just a comparison ;)

We'd need a class that can do a Supplex first. Would only make proper sense

Make him a server event, where upon bringing him down will renders doomtrain available to use to transport people to a new zone for the particular server

Well i am for one, really againts rehashing stuff from other FF to give this game a FF feel, but i do understand that some monsters and aspects of previous series could and will be used, doomtrain would be cool to watch and fight.

A rail cart in front of doomtrain, close enough for melees to hit. That can act as the arena.

I think Doomtrain would be an awesome addition. Just when you thought you was getting a a nice train ride to Grid you find yourself on the Doomtrain! Consider it a medium difficulty fight because whoever was on the train get sucked into an instance to fight it. Totally random of course.

hmm so you mean we are on boat... levi will try to sink our boat...so we must protect it like what we do for piles of stone in garuda...
then he 2hr. make our boat hit coral reef groups.
our boat sink...
we fall down to water (heavy cus hard to move) and we must do something to get some air (such as jump jump jump) or die in 1 min (or Hp starts to drain like "drawn" /poison amount cumulative like mp rest one start from -100hp/tick). & hard to dodge his attack (got hit then stun -> can't jump + sink).

then when we get to the water surface, we grab on some broken wood or stand on some rocks (cus we fight at LL shore) then continue to fight like normal, jump to different rock dodge not get knockback down to water.

when 1 member in water, he can hate reset (everyone to 0 enmity) but priority attack the one in water. 1500hp each bite. tank can provoke it back

inside water can't cast some certain spell or with special effect...
stone (50% dmg)
ice (100% dmg)
water (give him hp =.= and arcanist got to have it)
thunder (you hurt him also everyone inside water) (oh and little wiki time, when thunder hit ocean, charge evenly distributed on the water surface, so fish inside won't die everytime thunderstorm)
fire (unable to cast)
wind (unable to cast)

Doomtrain could pop on the train tracks and the entire party/alliance would have to jump onto it in order to battle it :D

How is it that you get to keep your LOL sig and mine gets removed by the mods and labeled a seizure risk.

For Doomtrain we could jump on board from another train and fight on top of them and maybe try to stop it from crashing into a town like in FF7

Duh we will chase doomtrain on our steampumk powered motorbikes

I'd be fine if he was only in the game in this way, similar to how pirates attacked the ferry in XI or how sea horror popped lol.

Seriously, Doomtrain needs to be a boss fight in the game. No if's or but's, it NEEDS to happen. If done right, it would easily be one of the most memorable MMO boss fights ever. SE would be stupid not to even consider this..

I think it would be interesting if we actually had to ride the doom train. Like it takes people over to the void realm or something. The party has to start from the back of the train and fight it's way up to the front cart where it has to fight the face/core of the train.

Fight it like the Jhen Mohran from Monster Hunter Tri. First make it appear as a random event while you are riding the train. All trains are aware of it's presense so they're equipped with anti-Doomtrain equipment. Break it down, board it on when you have the chance, then in the grand finale (after you "break" it down) you have to kill it head on before it starts up completely again while evading all of it's skills (throwing ghosts at you or something).

Honestly I see Doomtrain like Alexander - one of the FF spirits you don't generally fight so much as hope cooperates rather than killing you with a shrug >.>

Jump in the caboose, move your way up, disconnect the cars as you go; until you get into his brains.

I like how there pops up a Doomtrain thread in the forum every once in a while. Just goes to show SE needs to make this happen!

Doomtrain will probably be a roaming primal like Odin. The reason I believe so is because of the train tracks outside uldah. They have to serve a purpose other than pure aesthetics, considering 1.0 doesnt have train tracks at all. I'm guessing Doomtrain will just randomly pop and roam Eorzea via train tracks. Otherwise, the inclusion of train tracks is entirely random and utterly pointless.

Well for doomtrain the main part after seperating the rest of it will turn into Primal/Magitek armor type deal and he will have legs and can be mobile that way ^_^.
