Memorial service for James, Valiaa Masume @Siren

Hello everyone

I bring sad news unfortunately. Today we were notified of the loss of life as James, Valiaa Masume, has passed away.

I know many of us are shaken from the community. To many, he was a friend, a supporter, and a brother. He gave to the communities he was in not just in FF, but in the real world too.

Valiaa had cleared the Future's Rewritten 461 times. He did this out of fun and to help others. Majority of his clears were helping many players to complete the fight. This had continued in many ultimate ever since Endwalker with TOP, DSR, TEA, UWU, and UCoB. Yet he had done much more. Helping in community projects big and small. He would be there to give and he always did it while trying to be the best, yet never losing sight of his goal. Even if it was helping others, he looked towards having fun. As he loved playing FFXIV ever since ARR.

We miss him dearly. I miss him dearly.
I cannot express enough the sadness many may feel. The weight is heavy.

We do not know the details fully as it is still new. We can only disclose that he was sleeping and passed away in peace. But please, we ask you to please respect his family's privacy and not to speculate on what it could be. They are going through it hardest of us all.

There will be a memorial service for James, Valiaa:
On Sunday, February 22nd, at 11 pm est (8 pm pst) at the eden crystal in Amh Araeng. On Siren. If multiple instances, instance 1.

It may take some work and I apologize, we thought it best to remember him on the fight and tier that was his favorite.

If you do not have it:
- You must complete eden 1-12 normal


We do hope that you come. There we will celebrate the memory with a few words from close friends. The ceremony will most likely last for some time. But people are free to stay and give their respects to the man that had given so much to those he had played with in a community he loved to be in.

Though I don't know this person, I too have had memorial services for fellow FC members who have died.

It's painful, it's sad, and it's going to be stressful, but I'm hopeful that you have an illuminating and heartfelt memorial.

This is incredibly sad and shocking to hear, I'm not sure how to react. My heart dropped when I received the news

He was the one that helped me on my first clear, and besides that I would join him in other fru parties often, hang out and chat in his stream almost daily.

Thank you for the update, I will be attending the vigil. He was a good person, fun to talk to, so kind and friendly and always willing to help people, he will be dearly missed and I will remember him.


I know he was a devout Christian, I hope he was able to meet with his god.

This is very difficult to deal with... I didn't know Valiaa intimately, he helped me with my FRU clear, in fact he changed his totem party to a C41 for me, everything that came out of his mouth when I made a mistake was just knowledge and help, an incredible person that I always talked about to my friends "ah he has more than 400 clears in FRU, look how well he plays" but above all what an incredible person he was, I will certainly be at the memorial, my condolences to his friends and family, may you be resting well in your own flowery field, legend.

Rest in Peace to the undisputed GOAT of FRU. Even if brief, I'm extremely honored to have shared that space with him. I know if his dedication to community projects are like his dedication to helping others in his favorite fight, he did a damn good job.

He helped me in a very important clear of DSR for me, and after that clear it would set off the fire I have in my heart for it. I hope to be as passionate about things as he was.

Fucking heartbreaking to see notable names in this community pass on. I hope his friends and family are well in these trying times. Stay safe, y'all <3 I hope to see you in party finder.

This breaks my heart to hear. I spent 12 hours in PF on New Year\\'s Eve trying to get my FRU clear and just after midnight he was in the group that finally got me my clear.

I appreciate him and everyone that helped me get that. I am keeping his family and friends and our entire community in my thoughts.

The man was a legend. Always helping others, always kind, always giving of himself. His passing is heartbreaking beyond words.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine how heartbreaking this must be. While I sadly never got to meet this player, they sound like an incredible person and a great friend.

I hope you have a wonderful memorial and can get the chance to reflect on the good times you got to share with them. Valiaa will be missed dearly.
