Petition to add Cheburashka to FF14

Please note that this is a serious petition and the proposed bear is a well known character in the CIS countries and other countries like China.

Cheburashka is a cute bear with big ears and is a well known character in the eastern world. The sweater he is wearing could possibly be a model for 3 channel dyeing for sweater gear.

This character could be added to other FF14 content, like cosmic explorer.

Also, this character could be used in a FF14 trial battle, similar to Titan Extreme in Shadowbringers.

The character could be used in FATE battles, such as collecting oranges

The character is copyrighted though, so that's a problem. Same for adding other small bear-like humanoids if they look too much like Ewoks.

I'm not against adding small bear-like humanoids in general, of course.

OP, in the nicest way possible, this looks like my sleep paralysis demon.

I can’t imagine SE would be thrilled at the prospect of giving someone else’s IP free advertising and not getting something commensurate in return (I.E free advertising lol). Though I read online there’s a Japanese reboot of the character, so who knows. Maybe we’ll see it with Mi’qote ears on ere long lol

The one time I wouldn't have been agast upon seeing a swathe of purple bricks... looks like a Super Monkey Ball character with hypertrichosis in those AI takes tbh.

What is surprising is that I don't recognize that thing, even with some not so inconsiderable eastern lineage. Guess Moomins were just cuter and made more of an impression on me (also popular in Japan at one stage, yet you don't see those running about in-game, though they wouldn't be out of place in Il Mheg).

/shrug @ the proposal I guess. If it somehow happens it happens. Would be as neutral to it as GARO stuff. A Noddy-esque lalafell as a cheeky nod on the other hand... (yeah that's even less likely to happen, but since we're pitching random retro childhood icons I thought I'd give it a go).

This could really happen…Makoto Nakamura is the producer of Cheburashka in Japan, and has worked with Square Enix on multiple projects.
