... So Ive listen to all the themes and chose the top 5 I think would fit in for a rehash or refitting for 2.0 Choco theme.

Ok Yoshi's music team.. lets combine all these and make the perfect chocobo theme. Or have each area of the world have its own chocobo theme, might be a little more work, but its nothing you guys can't handle.

You've analysed the themes quite well.

Personally I think FFXI's sounds most chocoboish out of the ones you listed as the flute sounds feathery, instantly making me think of birds.

FFXII's seems a little too dramatic with its orchestrated feel... though the slams make it sound almost like running through a desert/cliff zone?

I strongly feel that if we have to listen to the chocobo theme whenever mounted, each zone deserves it's own chocobo tune. Given the distinctive nature of each zone, it would bring something new to the table as an mmorpg.

I'd prefer SMW Yoshi-esque subtle music changes when riding. It's a long shot but hey I tried..

I fell in love with the FFXI Chocobo theme. I thought it was perfect. It helped me relax and zone out while going places.

For ARR, I think they should keep it a bit short, and have it play once after you mount, then fade into the normal area music.

In fact, let's do that for all the repetitive special music: chocobo, crafting, and the infernal event music!

I is a pretty balanced theme song. I t would be nice if the music team came up with something similar.

Definitely something in this style for the rental bird (which you'll be using at the start and not often, so this sort of theme won't get tiring) would be awesome.

Why not add every single Final Fantasy chocobo theme into the game, and whenever you jump on your choco, it randomly plays one of them or seamlessly transitions into a different theme.

I don't know, I think the Company Chocobo theme fits great in to the game. :)

Aside of a new nice theme, it would be cool to be able to also turn off the mount music if you just want to listen to the area theme.

Personally i like the calm theme of FFXI... when you hear a chocobosong over and over it shouldnt be that aggressive, that it ennoys you after 2-3 times.

my faves personally. the examples in the opening posts are too awful in my opinion to listen to them over and over.

so for me its more important that it sounds like classic music.. and it should be less annoying.

I like the one we have now, and I like calm themes for traveling like from FFXII, and Swing de Chocobo for example. Very relaxing for adventuring out in the wild.

I like the idea of having a low whistle version of the chocobo theme:

you have to imagine it without guitar.. therefore maybe violine etc.

I still think the one from VII is the best. I'm not even a VII fanboy... I liked it don't get me wrong but since I started playing with the original FF I think X is my favorite overall. When I think of chocobo music though I always think VII. XI annoyed me, I think it was too mellow and slow for running around on a giant bird.

i liked ffxi's chocobo music best, just like the goobue music, its calming. but what i find most annoying with the current chocobo song is that its just so boomingly loud at the begginning, then it eventually dies down again and becomes good and then it picks up again, its too much

Rather have no theme and just have background music.

Something like FFXI theme for rentals and FFXII version for GC chocobo would be perfect in my mind.

What they should really do is allow you to buy chocobo tracks and use them in the same way you use barding.

Most people would love that I think, and they could constantly expand it via updates.
