What Are You Doing (Or Not Doing) In-Game?

Since a lot of us are on the forums a lot (some way more than others), it'd be interesting to hear what you're doing in-game.

Or, what you're not doing.

Or, what you want to be doing.

Let's hear it.

Lately I've been doing the barebones minimum.

- Grinding cap tomes 450/450 on Tuesdays/Wednesdays
- Logging in daily to do the Tribal Quests (to level crafters)

It's filthy casual work but I want to get crafters up for next expansion's repairs.
I'm also working to get the best gear for my Reaper in case my FC wants to do stuff.

What I'd like to be doing is:
- Maps
- EX Trial farming

My FC used to do maps groups but people all left so that's no longer happening. Same with EX.

I gave up on Savage raiding back in Endwalker, I might get back into it for the next expansion.

Currently I’m grinding paste for my relic, running treasure hunt when I’m online and making glams while patiently waiting for another patch.

Personally I usually do:

- expert roulettes
- pvp
- normal raids
- mess around with housing
- desperately craft to recoup the money spent on messing around with housing lol
- collecting minions
- spending inordinate amounts of time playing dress-up at the glamour dresser (then deciding I’ll just keep using the same glamour after all lol).

What I’d like to be doing:

Mostly the same but with actually interesting/unique/fun/engaging/[insert synonymous buzzword] job designs rather than being so bland and similar to each other. Expert roulette dungeons still feel very ‘lazy’ though - making them ‘fun’ doesn’t have to mean they’re also ‘time consuming’ lol. I’m sure can and probably have had both.

Alternatively something like Bozja / Occult Crescent but actually good. I’d take Occult Crescent but with Lost Actions instead of Phantom Jobs (which frankly just suck lol). I like the basic concept of ‘it’s (a little bit) more difficult than standard normal dungeons or w/e in some cases but not as restrictive or heavy-going as savage’. I mean, outside of the whole thing basically being repetitive glorified fates lol. They have their good and bad aspects I guess.

Yesterday I finished all 21 of my Obscurum relics, it had been my primary focus for the past two weeks, and it is nice to check that out.

Today and for the foreseeable future, I am in Oizys, on a whim I decided I want to get to the 500k point mark across the board, I have no idea if I will be able to commit, but in the case I do, I plan to stop at ~400k to ~450k, and do the rest in the last planet in 7.5. It's a shame the 500k point mount is so lame, but I am not doing it for the mount.

Currently working on both Crafting/Gathering and Battle relics, savage a couple nights a week, and basic tome capping. I do a lot of achievement hunting but I'm taking a breather before I start on whatever grind I'm going to hard focus next.

I know it's a joke to most but I enjoy standing in Limmy People-watching and doing my retainers. I feel a little less lonely, I guess? 8D
Meanwhile, I'm slowly chipping away at- and almost done with- the EW Variant Dungeons.
Gathering and Crafting odds and sods between. No particular goal.
Skittering about looking at things and scenery out in the world when I feel the urge.

As for what I'd like to be doing,
I'd really like to be progressing the MSQ but the Interphos trial isn't Duty Supported. I heard some others after are not either. I thought Dawntrail having supported MSQ trials was a move for the better only to be let down at the final hurdle. Boo! ;_;
Maybe collecting Bicolours for goodies but my buddy is hesitant to go back to relaxed Fate Farming despite all my gentle encouragement, due to burnout and social wounds. I'm too scared to go without a buddy.

Banter with friends, a bit of Eureka, a bit of going for the newer relic tools when I don't feel like actually playing with anyone, but feel like having something in the background for the sake of it.

Racing to get 100 wins mount at new garbage Frontline mode so I never have to set foot at it again.
Other than that, I just casually do my dailies and relics in between playing other games and work.

Weeklies, some relic, cosmic stuff, helping newbie players, just hanging. I have more jobs capped than any other point.

Currently

-just daily roulettes
-capping tomes and collecting crystal paste for the relic
-savage reclears on tuesday
-TOP prog (p5 is a mess)
-ex farm to get some totems with my alt
-getting my crafters and gatherers a bit updated
-a little bit of cosmic exploration, trying to get some crafter relics
-still maxing out island sanctuary (lol)
-collecting glamour since the restrictions got lifted

And i would like to catch up on beast tribes since i've been a bit lazy about them this expansion

I returned about 2 months ago. My main had finished 7.3, I have not played her since, and not touched anything of DT so far (including OC, or 7.4, the new planets, or whatever).
I'm currently leveling a new char and am in the middle of HW. As soon as I get near 7.0, I will bench her too, as I have basically given up on DT.

Currently raiding thrice a week, besides that working on big fishing and other achievements, roulettes, dailies, weeklies and so forth! :)

The same as every week... doing my daily mentor, nraid, trials rous is my avg day dailies but I also do 1x EXDR and 1 Capped now for the final 600 paste quest. Also, I only do the daily FL so I can get the pvp pass done and after that I stop running it until the new one is out so I can save the exp for my PLD.

Also, I tried the Cosmso Exploration and I've had enough of that after a few days, but I might return for some Red Alerts and when they add the final one eventually for the rewards. Then I'm never going to do FT1 or CAR so I'm fine with casual content and MSQ when it's out along with zero raiding as I play games to relax nowadays. Finally, I'm just going to wait for the South Horn release to see if they added a new interesting map and rewards until then I stopped after I did the 1st DT relics step done.

What I am doing:
- Expert/Leveling roulettes daily for the relic
- Farming DoH/DoL relics but can I truly say it happens all ingame since I only do it when I have something else to watch on the second screen?
- Inviting and helping sprouts on NN like a good, self respected emotional vampire

What I'd like to be doing:
- Ranked pvp, but it stopped popping long ago and I have to DC travel to shitty Chaos anyway
- Clearing Orthos but screw this dungeon in particular

What I don't want to be doing:
- Going back to Savage/Ultimate. I'm retired.

What i do:

- Weekly wondrous tails.
- Getting weekly tomestone.
- Doing newest normal raids for weekly rewards.
- Doing newest normal alliance raid for weekly rewards.

- Main story quest (When more main story quests gets added to the game)


What i'm not doing:

- Extreme trials.
- Unreal trials.
- Savage raids.
- Ultimate raids.
- Chaotic alliance raids.

- And many other content that i'm not interested doing.


What i would like to do:

- Occult Crescent.
But it's unplayable mess where FATE's gets completes in seconds and without knowing Critical Encounter mechanics perfectly which makes really hard to stay alive when not in party, so my only option is to skip Occult Crescent completely.

Level Cap Roulette
(Sometimes) Leveling Roulette (for that paste)
Edit : Normal Raid to hopefully get a Heavyweight Arcadion for more paste
Weekly Heavyweight for armor tokens / paste.
FATEs if I can get a DT Zone to myself (again for dat paste). Fun to just mindlessly grind with jobs I'm not good with and not dragging a party down with poor play which points to the next part...

What I'm not doing.
Extreme/Unreal/Savage : Not skilled enough, tried and failed miserably. As the Rock said decades ago "Know your role"
Occult Crescent : Love getting 2 shot by failing mechanics unless I play a tank in CE /s. And like UNDEAD10000 FATEs are so skewed you'd be lucky to get any done.

I am raiding with my friends or I am in frontlines and nothing else, maybe the odd ocean fishing boat if I have free time in the week.
I do like to read or make clown posts if I am bored waiting in the queue.

Not much honestly, can't even be arsed to name the few things I still do.

When I login now I just think of glams. Other than that it's either roulettes or Bozja. I haven't given up on wanting the al-iklil, but the decreasing population to do CLL and Dalriada is making it harder now.

Mostly just craft items to sell or decorate my fc house.

I am doing a bit of this and that I guess.
I'm farming bicolor gems for the Wivre mount and also popping into OC to level phantom jobs when the mood takes me.
16/500 vouchers as I only started farming recently. As for OC jobs, I've mastered 5 of them. Got to love MMO grinds.

slowly progging this tier because I have a soft spot for Coeurl kittens

I finished all of my tools in cosmic, got myself most of the gacha rewards from there.
I savage raid twice a week with my group.
I make sure my house isn't demo'd.
....I sometimes do a roulette if I can be bothered, now that I've gotten all my tome pieces for dragoon.

I've done most things in the game, so I'm mostly just getting on, raiding, then hopping off at this point, All I really have left is achievements (I don't really care about them, so scratch that off), Ultimates (I'm not really in the mood to prog ultimates I haven't done yet, still yet to unlock TOP) and forked tower which I'm just being too lazy to go find a discord on aether, or go back to crystal to join a CAFE run.

I don't find blue mage fun so I just hit max level on it and leave it, mostly. Still haven't beat Gogo. Beastmaster will likely be the same, though some interest exists simply because I want to see if Lyon and Pagaga are involved with it in any way.

And... That's it. I can't really think of anything else I want to do. I'll get my pvp grind on closer to the end of this series since I'm just not really in the mood for it with all the server instability I'm experiencing connecting from OCE.

Edit: I just remembered one other piece of content that I haven't done, but it slipped my mind when I posted. I haven't done criterion and by extension, criterion savage. None of my friends have really expressed an interest, and I quit not long after Sil'dihn subterrain released during EW, so that's another thing that I haven't done.

I log in to keep my house, and to do fomo events.

I think the biggest peeve I have with the expansion is how many players have left.

We used to be able to do everything inside my FC. Now we're just sitting there in PF trying to make things happen.

I personally want a level crunch, halve everything, take our level back down to 50.

We need some incentive to bring people back.

I've been running savage and FRU, that's about it, I really don't have time to do anything else since I'm hard stuck on m12s p2.

Just finished the grind for the new Obscurum Relic weapons - and the Phantom Sword & Shield Obscurum were my first choice as they look absolutely gorgeous!

What I’m doing: Mostly grinding, for better or worse… my Mistwake glam grind went on to Arcadion music grind, then Phantom relic grind, then on to Cosmic crafting grind. Which will probably then go to OC grind, even though I’m not really enthused about it. Beyond that, my usual glam and housing decoration.

What I’m not doing: Not really paying attention to tomes or weeklies at the moment. I got my tome weapon, I have my main’s relic, I’m sure I’ll have enough of the middle tomes to complete the rest of my relics before next patch but I don’t feel the need to grind for them. Maybe because everything else I’m doing feels like too much of a grind. And also why I’m avoiding OC… already did that grind once and it feels like redoing something I’ve already done way too much of, just to level a few more phantom jobs.

What I’d like to be doing: one of the supposedly multiple Variant dungeons we’re going to be getting, redecorating my house with the new item limits in place, more seasonal events with the reward level of Valentiones, leveling BLU and trying out BST, etc.

Collecting paste still for the current relic step, while also collecting tomes to finish off the last few relics I had from the previous step by doing hunt trains.
Slowly working on Pilgrim's Traverse clears and weekly logs so I can work towards getting the mounts.
Checking out PF for Fate farming parties or any specific maps I need to get done for achievements.
Doing cosmic exploration crafts to finish up this current step for the crafting relics.
And many other tasks in between but thesr are the biggest things.

I'm currently grinding for paste and "Wisher Upon Stars". I switch between them as the mood takes me. That being said, my freetime is in short supply right now so my progress has been slow.

But that's okay. I don't need to finish long grinds in three days. I'll chisel away at them and finish them when I finish them.

In a bit of a XIV slump as there are other games I'm more excited by at the moment.

My normal routine is collect free money from retainers, daily expert, weekly normal raids for alt job gear.

I do holiday events if they are around.

Presently at 100/200 paste, then will need 300 and 600 I guess. I'll finish it as it happens.

My goal is to get the WHM relic as I like the new staff, though I already have a 780 staff that I'd be using power-wise. But I'm not in a hurry.

Capping Cosmic Exploration tools (already got the latest stages), roulettes for tomes for relics/Wondrous Tails, hunts, maps, PT occasionally but I'm pretty much done there.

Savage, I just cleared the tier but I'm still helping out practice PFs. I really need to do more roulettes for crystal paste, and also to get Gil since I spent at least 14 million this patch. Also fell back in love with Ninja (level 69 at the moment) and am using it in levelling and alliance roul.

Besides that, I'm on the lookout for nice glams, just today I traded alliance coins to augment my historia fending armor, coloring it gold with a metallic red cape. Also got full savage tank set except feet, colored the highlights ruby red, and it looks a bit like the eastern techno attire from the shop.

Maybe in 7.5 I'll do the next ultimate, but I'm worried if it's even possible to PF it, as FRU took hours to fill when it was current. Right now savage pf in elemental is -also- experiencing the longest fill times among the tiers this expac, 7.5 ult might require a static at this point.

- Extreme trials - for mounts
- Savage raids for gearing up
- Ultimate raids for glowing weapons
- Treasure maps. Decent gil, sometimes good loot.
- Housing. Gets good gil, and it is fun to design interiors.
- Hunts. Very high reward for very little effort.
- Crafting. Just necessary evil sometimes. If you hit the right spot, can bring lots of gil too.
- Social aspect. Just visiting various places randomly sometimes.
