God damn it Square. Do something, give us actual updates, progress/steps towards a stable server. Anything.

Merry Christmas all. Disconnects all morning now, about once an hour. 500 in the queue and I am still a paying customer. Please fix this issue ..
I'm beginning to think it's not DDOS but some other issue. Frankly then need to fix this before the savage race begins.
I started using Express VPN to see if it changes anything, connected to the LA 2 server and I still got booted and now I'm in a queue with another 263 players.
It's either a massively determined DDoS RMT outfit that SE Legal actually got part of, but didn't finish off...
OR
The North American physical servers are dead.
It really IS one or the other.
i do genuinely believe its a very determined DDoS
The fact that not everyone gets disconnected and it seems to depend on where their network traffic is routing through, hence why using a VPN can mitigate the issue, suggests that the issue is one or more network nodes of the service provider SE is using for the NA servers. It's possible the node/s are getting hit directly or indirectly by a DDOS, but it could be failing or overloaded routing hardware as well, or a combination of those issues. Either way, SE needs to get off their collective rears and work things out to either get the service provider to address the issue, or find a different provider that will.
3rd time this morning...
They're doing a crossover event with Superman. It's part of a wider effort to join....
The DC Universe
Nothing we can do please understand, please buy fomo mogstation
its neither. its not the game servers at all. its the NTT nodes. Square needs to stop using NTT, but they wont because NTT is Japanese owned. If it was game servers, everyone would be kicked every time, and they arent. some people just lag, sometimes they dont even lag. I for one have survived 4/5 of todays mass DC events so far. And in the last few weeks I've only DCd 2x, but lagged like hell dozens of times.
Its still on SE to fix, but the fix is not to the servers, its changing ISPs thats needed.
SE could do as you say.. But they will never. NTT being japanese means they will hold to that like its a system that has no equal. They could change it and be significantly more immune to any DDOS but why? your not playing in japan so you dont matter. Thats their policy or they would have responded after 2 months of this (actualy years but its been worse since few years now though there was a time back then when it was as bad too and they never did a thing)
Bumping for visibility! Like and comment on threads about the continued issues to keep them at the top of the feed if you are able.
I can't believe they've added a new cash shop glamour before acknowledging the elephant in the room. These issues aren't easy fixes, but we deserve a little transparency with the amount of service disruptions we've been dealing with. It can't wait until a PLL. Loan some cloud servers or something if it's needed. There just needs to be a good faith effort to show the NA playerbase that the issue is being worked on and that we're not going to have to endure this with rising player numbers in the lead up to 8.0. Content creators aren't going to send returning players/new players back into the ecosystem if it's common knowledge there are crippling network issues. They'll get just their doomscroll clicks covering the issues and saying the game is 'over'.
It seems, that some NTT network nodes cannot handle the traffic. And this is the reason why VPNs can help. SQEX should select their ISPs more carefully.
Cheers
