Mod users, please stop sharing unreleased glamours and emotes

Today I've been spoiled over and over again about future content because mod users selfishly posts images and videos of unreleased items on social media, and it's gotten really frustrating. It takes away the fun of surprises. Don't be shocked if they take down more mods or even ban you if you continue like this. Thanks for spoiling the fun. Truly.

This isn't a modder exclusive thing, welcome to data mining.
It has existed since forever in almost every game, and you will never get rid of it.

And if it helps you... it is not future content. All content for 7.4 is already available for your eyes in game, what isnt seasonial is cash shop items so it isnt really... spoiling anything in game.

Data Miners ≠ Modders

There's an overlap where some people belong to both groups, of course... but your issue is with data miners, which YoshiP has already asked them to quit doing what they're doing, but ultimately there's nothing you can do to stop them except force all of us to constantly update our game in bite-sized patches so nothing you're not supposed to see immediately upon release would be in the files, and thus able to be datamined.

... As you can understand, this is incredibly annoying for everyone involved, so muting certain terms in social media or trying to stay away from it for the couple of days it takes to get through most content for the first time would be your only solution.

It's not modders
Dataminers would exist even if they added anti-cheat, just so you're aware.

It was in fact modders that I've seen. I'm not new to dataminers, and I've been playing this game for years. I have never seen it this bad before as now people are posting untagged spoilers of modding unreleased glamours/emotes that they did in fact access through their mod in game and then posting screenshots and videos of themselves using it.

It is in fact future content, including seasonal, event and unreleased mogstation items for next year

Pretty sure that's BS. The last datamine that circulated was the mount from M12S.

I don't really see what you're trying to accomplish here. Whether it's mod users or dataminers, neither are likely to be frequenting the official forum and even less would care one way or another.

And they wouldn't post on the official forums, youtube and other platforms they can get away with it since I suppose people can just obfuscate details relating to their account anyway.

Whether it's a 'mod user' or a 'data miner' is irrelevant to be honest, you're basically just playing a game of semantic definition...

How widespread it is, is just indicative of the sheer lack of care for anything that falls outside of their arbitrarily defined 'So long as it doesn't affect other players' scope.

It's pointless requesting this from players, when they are just behaving within the confines of what Yoshida 'permits'

There's literally a database site called Garlandtools where anybody can browse everything added in a patch, included stuff not released yet.

AFAIK there's nothing spoilery on those. Unless you consider knowing what random online store outift coming a spoiler...

This is like trying to ask scam companies to stop sending us all phishing texts and emails, or trying to ask sketchy sites to stop creating fake clickbait so they can earn ad revenue...

Pure definition of yelling into the void. There are always.. always going to be people who do this sort of thing (whether it's the dataminers or the modders using and sharing the datamined/modded content).

This basically goes back to the very first time a competitive game was played in the history of the world, and one second later the first time someone found a way to cheat O.o
