Still no word on Beastmaster or Blue Mage :(

We're almost at the release of 7.4.
Square is really putting all it's money that Beastmaster and Blue Mage will do all the heavy lifting in 7.5 or they are really confident in the 2nd zone of Occult Crescent and the Ultimate.

Why do you think we've yet to even get a small snippet of Beastmaster? Not even the type of artifact armor, or just a general idea of the mechanics of it, it's all so vague and it's so far into the expansion it's just weird. :(

Likely 7.45 is when they're coming... They really shouldn't come in so late into the expansion's cycle.

I hope they don't come out at the exact same time. That would be a waste of "busywork" content for us to do. It makes more sense to spread out those types of content for casual play.

Pretty sure they've confirmed that BST is 7.55, no? I remember it was mentioned during one of the LL stream, or maybe I misremember it.
Either way, the wait from 7.5 to 8.0 is pretty long (to put it mildly), so it would make sense they release BST and Blu update during that period of waiting time.

BST I think they straight up said is 7.5x. BLU I have heard nothing on.

Kinda silly to finally be in the land BLU came from and the most we've gotten so far is the Fisher role questline (which I did like, but still).

My point isn't really when are they coming, you are right it was known it's 7.55, but the fact that we know literally nothing of BST or BLU ever since the expansion started.
Even with OC and Cosmic Exploration we had some ideas and images of how they look even before they got released, but with BST we only got the general notion that it involves pets and we level them up.
Surely they could've shown us a little more... right?

BLU was in 4.5, so I really doubt BST will be before 7.5.

I'd expect BST to show up in the next fanfest maybe? 7.5 is expected in late April and the fanfest is also in the same month, so with 7.55 further out I think it'd make sense to show it at a big stage event like it

I think they said 7.5 recently.

7.5 will also have an extreme. Maybe they will do more criterion as well. Either way, you can expect lots of old event re-runs and mog tome events, like they do toward the release of every expansion.

We know it's coming, and we know it's coming in 7.5.

Was already mentioned, beastmaster would be late in expansion, as for bluemage almost certain they also mentioned there is no plans for it this expansion as an, "up to devs/if have enough time" kind of deal.

That would singlehandedly be the biggest tragedy to Bluemage story. During the expansion where we visit the homeland of Blue Magic, we get 0 content for it.

Crazy hot take, maybe they should fix Blue mage first before starting a 2nd one that will die an equally pitiable death without the necessary work.

The lack of info to this day is already evidence enough that it was announced without any actual plan like island sanctuary, so expect beastmaster to be a reskinned chocobo companion that maxes out at lvl50 with the "actual" version being a feature of 8.4

Blue mage is already dead content, not so much fun. People will gather new spells and it will be dead again. Beastmaster as someone said, will be probably something disappointing. They can't even show what they have planned for it. But ye prolonging is a great idea. Same as with housing, surely its 7.5.

im pretty sure yoshida said something about a blue mage upgrade a while ago. it was propably an interview. since beastmaster is in 7.5 (i assume 7.55) i assumed we would get the blue mage update in 7.45.

they wouldnt push that also into the same patch with beastmaster and another creszentis map, would they?

If 7.5 is going to be as long as the worst case scenario predictions, shoving that much content into it makes sense.
