Phaenna Ex+ missions

The crafter ex+ missions are a bit too tedious , like what kind of overmelds from hell, do you even need to complete these missions? Best i can do is bronze, on certain missions(with food and tisane) ! And even that is unreliable !
Most crafters I know don't even bother with it anymore , they just do gatherer ex+ missions which are a lot easier to actually do.
I just think that the bar is to high for something that is essentially just a grind anyway.
And having ppls time wasted with these undoable missions is just annoying !

I have the latest MB gear and no pentameld and I have no idea how to farm for the Cosmoboard. I don't want to spend 9 mio to buy it off MB. Is this gameplay really fun for anyone or is this just another Gil farm for bots? lol <3

Okay, so some research and I found out that gathering is supposedly much easier to farm the token. You just have to wait for rain and then switch to Botanist. Except that... ah... been waiting for 20 min now and it does not rain. I don't know what to say. Game is either wasting my time with time gating or forcing me to waste all my Gil on someone who botfarms 24/7 for profit. Honestly, I hate Phaenna, there is nothing fun about this.

Even with full penta 750 they are full RNG luck on when you get goods. ANY points nets you about 36 tokens, 144 for silver and 180 for gold. Even with specialist it was about 25% chance of success. I dislike the way it has been done immensely, but I guess it's just to put an artificial barrier in place until 8.0 when higher gear will trivialize it all...except it's ALREADY trivial since even bronze farming will get you the mount in around 5 hours.

Gathering or crafting? How? I didn't have the chance to get rain weather and every crafting attempt fails. Please educate me.

Depending on how you geared your gatherers (miner/botanist - fisher is too much rng to be reliable), you can complete each mission in about 2mins with gold, giving about 110 each time. Bad runs are 3mins. But do note, it needs quite some overmelds for this. Basic melding isnt enough. Lets say 3mins average for gold to make odds worse, that then means about 2000 possible in an hour when the missions are up. I think even here 5hours of farming is a realistic estimate. And they are quite often up if you can do all 3 types (fisher might be the worst, but its still not bad once you know which abilities to use to increase odds).

Also, dont be afraid to finish missions early when odds are against you. Being at 0gp and cordial on CD with silver at 1min left, just complete it to get full gp and cordial cd refresh and start again. Even just bronze is enough for this effect.

I haven't tried crafting outside of a few red alerts (easy), but FSH missions now are way too easy with the 30mn timer.
They kinda have the same problem as they had on the moon (have a good memory/learn and spam one/look it up if you want to maximize efficiency) but the timer make most of them (even the time limit ones) way too easy and/or uninteresting.
There was only 1-2 timed/weather I couldn't get gold (but still completed) during my 3 days. Couldn't do all the specials, but every regular (EX included) wasn't much, even going blind.

I don't bother with the EX+ crafting anymore, its ridiculous, no matter what your melds, or using 750 relics etc... its RNG.
I have not tried gathering but someone I know got 1k in 30-40mins for the gathering version.

RNG + The pain that is Expert Crafting = No thanks, no mounts worth that.

I agree. I think that content should be playable when it releases. Failure despite the right equipment and knowing your rotation isn't fun. If someone does all the work, they should be rewarded, not punished.

I got my board on release day and have sold three since. I know that sounds jerky, but my intent here is to show how easy it can be with full info.

Forget crafting EX+. I can get gold on those with pentamelded crested gear but it's still too rng-heavy and frustrating. I would only recommend it if you really enjoy expert crafting for some reason (with food, tisane and pentamelded crested)

EX+ gathering (MIN and BTN) I can gold every single time with ample time left. Here are the details:

-Pentamlended crested gear but use the relic main hand for the collectible bonus.
- Rain weather botanist mission, cloudy weather miner mission OR
- 12:00-3:59, 20:00-11:59 time restricted missions
-Weather missions are best imo because weather can last a long time and, unlike time restricted, you don't have to reduce. The mission just scores as you collect.
- I only use 4 abilties. Only meticulous for increasing collectibility. Only spend GP on the plus integrity ("extra whack") and use the bonus when it procs. The forth ability is the duty action, which you can just use before meticulous whenever it's available. Use Hi-cordial after the first node.
-For the time restricted missions, aim to begin your reductions around 3:00 to meet the 2:10 gold time. As you do these, you will get a feel for when you can start reducing earlier based on luck at your first couple nodes.

Good luck! Gear is important. I have shared this with many people in game and testimonies are that getting even silver with everseekers is difficult. With penta crested, it's gold every time.

Yeah, i'm going to try Ty for the tips ! I mostly focused on crafter missions, bc honestly i didn't even plan to deal with gatherer stuff, the constant no gp while i was on the moon got me sick of it very fast, but i know they changed the gp regen now hoping its going to be better ! In the process of unlocking missions on my gatherers.

I fell behind on gear and I only have 2M in the bank so it sounds like doing this content is going to not be possible for me. A shame, the first part was fun, but I was struggling near the end. I dont have the resources or the time to go after a current full pentamelded gear set. I wish the vendor script gear would have been sufficient.

Yep! They changed it so you get all the GP you used during a mission back after you complete it! And the cordial timer gets reset too. So basically you are starting fresh with each repeat.

I belive new vendor scrip gear comes out soon. It's usually not too far after the crafted set is released. It will have the same base stats as crested, just no pentameld option. I would guess gold or silver would be possible with the EX+ gathering missions with the newest scrip gear, so give it a shot! Silver is 4x multiplier compared to the x5 for gold, so really not too many more repeats for going for that board.

Well gathering is somewhat more doable , but The gathering ex+ missions have so much rng it's crazy to me! Like completely reliant on random procs to fill the collectable bar,rng on meticulous/integrity usage,rng for the "extra whack" ,rng on how many items you get from aetherial reduction, if it's not max collectability you get basically nothing for it ,and if rng is not on ur side for the first few nodes then u wont have gp for the rest,so the mission is failed.
I have improved my gear on crafters too, pentamelded+food+tisane ,but crafter ex+missions are still undoable ...Idk who tested these, but I'm really sick of this.

They are just simply hard crafts, even with the best possible stuff. They are more about how well you can make use of the expert craft conditions and (to a degree) how well RNG favors you. It's meant to be a challenge, and sometimes you won't hit full quality even if you do everything right. As someone who's golded all of the currently available Phaenna missions (and all the ones on Sinus Ardorum, which also had similarly difficult crafts of their own), I can say that if you cannot ever complete them fully i750 geared/fooded/potted even over multiple attempts, the stats are not the problem and you are likely approaching the crafts themselves sub-optimally. I recommend watching others do/narrate over the crafts to get an idea of what you should be doing and the thought processes behind their choices. I referred to this video a lot when trying to finish golding all of the Sinus Ardorum missions (this video was back in the Everseekers era so the i750 gear wasn't even out yet, but how you do the crafts doesn't really change now, just the quality values you need to hit before going for your finisher will be slightly lower)

Gathering is RNG too, but not only is there is a more streamlined "process"/flowchart to what you should be doing (and no hugely random element like expert craft conditions at play), it's much less rigid about enforcing you to do things a specific way, to the point where you can often still succeed simply by just meeting the recommended gathering value (I think it was 5470 gathering) for the +70 collectability bonus, spamming Meticulous, and only using your GP on your "extra attempt" ability -- so there's much less brainpower involved. You still definitely aren't meant to be able to consistently gold them every time, but it takes a lot more bad luck to prevent you from doing so -- and even then, even if you *could* still reach gold, because of the much faster/rapidfire nature of the gathering missions, a lot of times it is better to just turn in the mission early and take a lower rank (especially silver, which isn't worth that much less than gold anyway in terms of rewards) just so you can get your GP/cordial back and start again.

Well ima grind out the cosmoboard, and unless they do something revolutionary, i'm not touching this content again ! Boring, tedious,annoying RNG ridden unrewarding experience ! Unless you're a completionist and really want to do some of this stuff yourself, then i guess go for it ,but otherwise i don't recommend this content !Save your precious time and sanity ,buy the mounts from mb if you want them (their price is plummeting continuously ) and enjoy your day !
I actually got star contributor ,and other than the temporary hologram on the "wall of shame" you get nothing for it...no title, no reward, no buff that would give you a slight advantage, just some temporary visual clutter...very disappointing !

Just farm for the board with gatherers, the fishing, Botanist and Mining is rather easy.
