It goes without saying but its high time male characters had basic nipples, the current nippless mutilations were always a bit creepy, but the real question is...

How many nipples should male Miquos and Hroth have?

If anyone is able to post renditions this could greatly aid the discussion.

And would more character options needed on the female side too?

Its high time that the forums got back to genuine debates about matters of productive import to the game.

Two, their women have two breasts, therefor, they should have two nipples, it's simple and already answered by the game, their human-like traits are not superseded by their animal traits, even for Hrothgar who are more animalistic than Miqo'te.

Otherwise, by this same logic, Au Ra men should have no nipples, and the women randomly have two lumps of fat on their chest that serves absolutely no practical purpose, since our non-human traits are reptilian and not mammalian, and considering that Hyur and Au Ra can reproduce and have a viable hybrid offspring, this is clearly not the case, and often the boring answer is the real answer.

Ah yes, finally, the true endgame issue we have all been avoiding. Forget raid balance, forget job design, forget story pacing... it is clearly the lack of nipples holding this game back.

In all seriousness though, I think there are bigger things the devs could be spending their time on than 'productive debates' about Hrothgar anatomy.

Bodies should be updated along with the faces and nipples should actually be a thing, as well, instead of the blurry dot we have right now.

I believe male characters have them on the model? They just don't really have a texture different from the rest of the chest and that's why they are really hard to see. I do notice men being depicted without nipples in Japanese media a lot, though. Always wondered why.

Ah yes, because the writing team is also doing the graphics now. Not how it works.

Anyway, it could be a part of whenever they decide to update bodies, not just faces and hands/feet. Since DT dropped, it looks super weird to put characters in shorts and stuff because their faces are hi-res but their bodies are weirdly blocky still.

you know you lot took away their tool they played in peace with you all can deal with it.

I never once said the same people working on raids or story are the ones who would be adding nipples. What I did say is that Square Enix has much bigger priorities than turning the official forums into a nipple wish list. There is a real difference between asking for proper body updates or better textures, which makes sense, and writing whole posts about how many nipples each race should have.

At that point it is less feedback and more someone's personal fetish slipping through.

I would say it is, because the entire discussion is specifically about nipples, counting them, and asking for renditions. That moves it from general realism into fetish territory. There's nothing about Au Ra traits that are specifically reptilian. Mammals can have horns or scales, and Au Ra don't resemble any specific creature closely, so I think it makes more sense to compare them to scaly mammals like pangolins or armadillos.

A great option for the Females would be for all gear to be more accurate to their real proportions. It's especially jarring how much some of the more buxom characters have their torso morph drastically in different shirts. It's not really an option but they should polish the FFXIV jank pile (character models).

And those default sandals are another issue...

why would ff14 interst themself in the size, number or anything else then they already done about it, a character creation with a slider for it, this game is PG-14. i see no point in changing anything about it

I highly doubt Yoshi p is going to do this. But if for whatever dumb reason he did decide to do it I'm pretty sure that many people would unsub from this game immediately seeing that he would rather please the ERP fans instead of actually improving the game like most people want.

The number should vary, dependant on the amount of Dynamis within a region, or Aether. IDK.

question, to what point realistic it needs to be to enjoy a game, i recall a lot of NES, SNES and a lotof retro games being excellent games.

do you really need your character to be your exact copy or to be your feminine ideal to be a good game?

this character your moving around is just pixels and the guy next to you in the game is just pixels, with a human controlling it.

if someone need those things to play a game they just forgot what game is about, playing, not dating and doing photoshoot, lol.

if people thought the same when final fantasy one has came out, square-enix would never have been able to launch ff14 20 years ago because even if it was a good game, yes it was a puddle of pixels
