Circumvention of the blacklist function.

The individual behind the "Weeaboo Police" that stands around in Leviathan's Limsa Lominsa Aetheryte plaza has well over 200 free trial accounts to stand around afk with, effectively circumventing the blacklist function. The overwhelming number of bodies in the area causes my game's performance to decrease significantly upon loading in as well as causing a longer load time than I should have. My blacklist is full, yet there are still more of them appearing. I've even cleared some of the ones that have been marked as "Character name could not be retrieved." from the blacklist to blacklist the ones that have reappeared. There is no end to this, and it is a serious problem. Square Enix NEEDS to do something about this problem. It is affecting my ability to play the game, especially considering Limsa Lominsa is my starting city-state. Whenever I return home from another world after visiting friends, I have to deal with this nuisance.

Adding this to the post so that people understand what the issue is exactly. This is less than half of the actual number of them that are standing in Limsa Lominsa because I have over 100 blacklisted at the time.

Good rage bait. I have been to Balmung, but I don't seem to have the problem of someone breaking the ToS by circumventing an in-game function. The blacklist function was updated so that it would remove player models for those who are blacklisted, but you have well over 200 characters/accounts to switch between, effectively circumventing the blacklist's intended functions.

■Nuisance behavior

If the behavior was observed being conducted by multiple players, all involved members will be issued a penalty.

◆Obstruction of play
"Obstruction of play" refers to all behavior in general that obstructs another person's gameplay. Below is a non-exhaustive list of examples of obstruction of play:
・Obstructing the activities of others
Refers to any kind of obstructive behavior that prevents the activities of another player.

You are obstructing my ability to exist within Limsa Lominsa's aetheryte plaza.

Let me say it in a way that you might understand it better. You are not entitled to kick X players out of the zone you are in for the sake of optimizing your games performance. Other players being around you does not negatively impact your ability to play the game.

You and your 200+ accounts are hindering my load times, my frame rate, and my computer's temperature when I load into Limsa Lominsa Aetheryte Plaza on the Leviathan world. Once I started to blacklist all of your naked Roegadyn standing around doing nothing, I had a significant improvement in my performance. I cannot blacklist all of your accounts because the blacklist does not have enough slots, and you are effectively circumventing a key feature of the blacklist function in-game.

I'm not angry, and I know this has affected others. There have been other people coming into Limsa Lominsa's aetheryte plaza who have stated the same problem that I have had. This is my civil protest against your deliberate obstruction of play and circumvention of an in-game function.

Any chance you could come visit Raiden Limsa next?
It's the fullest, most crowded server on Light right now and it's mostly due to Wanderers/Travelers/German posers who think they're entitled to the pixels they stand on 24/7 and need a reality check.

Mine involved an individual who was abusing the free trials offered graciously by Square Enix that is intended for people who want to try the game before they commit to paying anything. The individual was effectively circumventing a key feature of the blacklist by having well over 200 accounts to rotate through in order to continue filling space for those who had started to blacklist them. This behavior is considered to be disruptive, and therefore, against the Terms of Service of Final Fantasy XIV Online.

If you find that anyone is deliberately being disruptive with their behavior in-game, I suggest you use the Support Desk function to report them yourself. Detail your post and speak with a GM if you are contacted by one for any further clarification.

Hint: 90% of the people you see here are not from Raiden, but from another Server/DC. Yet, they've been over here for months and months, afking in "their" same spots, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There's too many of them to blacklist them all.

Your issue and mine are not exactly the same. Mine involved a single individual whose behavior was considered to be disruptive. Yours involves multiple individuals simply existing within a single space as far as I can tell.

They're exactly the same issue.

200 roes afking in the same spot for weeks = 200 wanderers/travelers/posers afking in the same spot for weeks.
They're both unnecessary and a draw on performance. The roes probably even less since they'll use already cached assets.

Asking to ban the roes for being "disruptive" (read: literally just standing there) would mean you'd also have to have the posers banned for the same reason. Which makes this request so ridiculous.
But given that you seem to be just trolling with the same copy-pasted line every post, I doubt you'll ever see it.

I believe the core issue here is that they are intentionally creating dozens of accounts for the sole purpose of making it impossible to blacklist them. If I don't want to see any old person just "standing there", then I can blacklist them, problem solved in one easy step. Weeaboo Police is exploiting the game's systems to make that impossible.

I started blacklisting the weeaboo police characters today and for this morning I had limsa wiped clean. As I returned later today I had to blacklist **42** additional characters.
I currently have 119 characters blacklisted on my end, and only 28 are unrelated to the weeaboo police.

I read the TOS snippet posted by OP and I do agree that this behavior falls under the 'Nuisance Behavior' clause since blacklisting doesn't fully resolve the issue as more dummy characters appear over time. I do hope the owner of the characters gets their appropriate penalty.

Honestly, at this point, its better to just abandon the server.

I'd just ignore them, as I do with the same amount of people on aether limsa. Should you get a limit of free trial accounts, maybe, I don't know the pros and cons to limiting that.

Honestly that is a little more justified. To me talking in /s is the equivalent of ppl holding a coversation on speaker while in a public place. It's rude. I don't need to have your private conversations with 1 other person or have your rp filling up my chat log. I tend to just blist /s speakers and emote spammers but the blist isn't that big, esp considering all the ppl flooding aether from other data centers only to sit their and complain in /s they need to go to aether to do anything while literally being part of the reason why. I already have to shut off /sh and /y due to rmt and venues, having to shut off /s due to UwU rp players, when I am not on an rp server to begin with, is just annoying.

Now seriously, people RPing in /s chat is fine. It's not "on speaker". The range around them isn't even very large and it allows other RPers to potentially jump in the scene as well (assuming we're talking about legit RP).
There's no official RP servers and this isn't a library, people are allowed to use /s wherever they please.

Just use the mute list instead. Or pick a new AFK spot from all the cool areas we have in the game? I like to keep a list of areas I like to AFK in when I need some silence and I'm sick of the LB forever rain.
