New Starter Job - Evoker - Evoker at level 30 Becomes Summoner

Arcanist is Getting Reworked - be a Level 1 Shield Healer



Evoker -
Level 1
Summon Carbuncle - Carbuncle (but now can preform attacks like it used too from a distance, but less jank
Radiant Aegis - The Same however you can now put the barrier on other players not just yourself
Ruin - Same as always

Level 2
Gemrot - (can stack with itself)
Fire Attunement -"Burn" - Damage over time effect that deals fire damage and reduces targets physical damage by 5% for 30 seconds
Earth Attunement - "Rasp" damage over time effect that deals earth damage and reduces targets physical defense by 5% for 30 seconds
Wind Attunement - "Choke" damage over time deals wind damage reduces the targets Magic by 5% for 30 Seconds.

Physick (Removed)

Carbuncle Pet Action ( Shining Light) 1 min cooldown - heals the target 33% of there max hp total and removes all status effects from them.

Aethercharge (the same)
Summon Ruby (the same)
Gem Shine the Same
Ruby Ruin the same)

Level6
Shining Ruby - Orders your carbuncle to double duration of all dots and spreads them all enemies

Fester - Now gains damage bonus for each individual damage over time effect or debuff currently on the target

Energy drain - the same

Resurrection (removed)

Level 15 - Shining Topaz - Orders carbuncle to revive fallen ally ( this does however have 30 min cooldown)

Level 25 - Shining Emerald - Order Carbuncle Makes the next damage spell you cast have 100% crit chance

Everything up on current arcanist is same on evokar at level30

Glare at Level 1
Summon Selene level 1 (Selene will evolve into eos when become a scholar)
Physic at Level 2
Bio at level 4
Maisma level 6
Adloquium Level 10 (adloquium will become Adloguium II at 30
Succor Level 15 (Succor will become Succor II at 35
Aetherflow level 18
Bane level 22
Raise (Support Skill at level 15
Fey illumination level 25
Level 36 Shadow Flare (classic is returning however it reduces damage all targets within it by 3-5% as it deals damage


What I did is increased scholars over all damage preformance cause shield healers shouldnt be compared to pure healers at all sage and scholar should have more damage opinions

Sadly as I understand it, messing with the class system is a big hassle of Spagetti code from the time they worked on 1.x and 2.0 in tandem.

Just let it be? 30 lvls is being done in like 2 hours.

I at least agree with the idea that a shield healer should be accessible at level 1 considering SMN and SCH have literally no relation to each other anymore

1-30 is like an hour levelling an alt job but it’s a while if you pick that as your starting class

It matters not how fast it is too level a class. its presentation that is important. ever sense scholar and summon linked to same class they been holding each other back from having a proper rework. I made 10 different characters in this game bought 10 different copies of this game started over 10 times . tell you this. just leaving it be is a mistake. squire-enix needs clean up there mess. not let it pile on each other all this does is make it get more and more fifthy over time

well know just because a hassle doesn't mean they shouldnt do it. they used that excuse when adding blue mage. remaking summoner now adding beastmaster as limited job. they cannot be lazy anymore. or risk losing it all final fantasy 14 is dieing if they dont get there butts in gear. 8.0 will be final nail in ff14 coffin


let me explain it better what happens when dont clean up your room. it starts getting dirty don't clean it up for months start collecting trash. speak for all levels not just end game content as game as a whole. things need to change tell you right now reason why partly we are in situation we are in cause players complain bout not having any new content in dawn trial. have not seen the new reworks they done older dungeons? I have think its beautiful. this is a good thing we want keep players enjoying what they do. instead constantly losing players.

story skip and instant level90 from mog station has to go for starters alot players skip the story cause want start dawntrail right away but then they piss out on 90% of the game and its content then complain there nothing to do at end game. its vicious cycle. but cant make whole game look nice no hope making 8.0 look nice either

just split it already.

also, make rogue a starting class.

My memory tells a different story. Has nothing to do with spaghetti code or even 1.0. It has to do with the class quests instead. Reworking Arcanist into a healer rather than a carbuncle summoning dps would be a lot of work for what they consider to be little payoff, or worse, no payoff when players inevitably get upset at the change.

I've wanted them to split the jobs since ARR when you had to spend ability points on EITHER INT or MND depending on the job you played more frequently, creating a unique situation where you were inherently worse at the other for no reason other than this unique situation of the system saying you are.

Edit: Also, just to add, the Arcanist class - as well as both the Scholar and Summoner jobs - didn't exist at all in 1.0. Yoshida has went on record to state that there was nothing outside of just small KB of character data from 1.0 that was kept for ARR. If there's any "spaghetti code" in FFXIV today, it's because they built a whole MMO in a little over 2 years while simultaneously maintaining a failing MMO. The thought of making a MMO in that short a time is crazy enough to think about without also having to maintain another one that everyone everywhere was crapping on at every opportunity. Deserved crap, mind you, but still.

IIRC, even for the FFXIV ARR beta, the class Arcanist or the jobs Scholar or Summoner weren't available. Folks didn't get to experience them until 2.0 launch, which also led to the Duty Finder system not functioning as well as hoped since so many people were playing Arcanist.

And afaik, they themselves admitted that a few times when talking about why we still have classes and job Stones.

I think this was initially intended to be how new jobs were added, with multiple options branching off from each base class.

AST, DRK, and MCH won't be rewritten to begin in the initial cities for the sane reason Scholar still awkwardly branches off a base DPS class: it ain't worth the trouble.

Yeah exactly. Putting any kind of manpower behind this means less new content. Nobody should care about splitting the jobs, you get a free DPS or free heals, be happy about that.

Focus on a new and exciting job instead of reworking something that can be completed in a couple hours.

I just want more dots as Scholar. That's all I really want. WHM has awesome burst potential, let us have better sustained damage than them at least.

I think if they were to separate them, they should either make Arcanist a separate job or retool it to be a pre-scholar healer with Summoner just starting at 30 as a separate thing.

Thematically i think Aracanist into Scholar makes more sense, and this would mean there would be 2 low level healers available rather than one.

But to be honest, the only thing shared between them now is experience and resurection. Most of the base arcanist things get special scholar versions and while Summoner keeps ruin, it gets its own versions of it. So they could just leave them be.

Honestly I think separating Scholar and Summoner might be a nice Idea.
When you start the game and want to be a healer. You only see: Conjurer....
While Tanks have 2 choices, and dps like 5 options.

People might be putt off by it to only have 1 choice if you don't know anything about the game yet! Yes when you made your character you'll see that there are more healers but a 2nd choice would still be nice
