Would be cool if PvP series was expanded to PvE

PvP Series is a great system that provides an incentive and long term goals with unique rewards to PvP. I feel like it's a shame it's not used for more than just that, especially that PvE does not have anything similar and having a system like that would add more replayability to PvE content.
On top of it, not everyone enjoys PvP. And while there might be rewards locked behind gamemodes someone might not enjoy, previous PvP rewards structure with wolf marks allowed those people to only do a bit of it to get the rewards they want and return to content they do like. PvP series however requires substantial time commitment to get the last tier reward, a reward often unique and with no equivalent from other game modes. This results in a considerable amount of people partaking in PvP, but only being there for the reward and as result not putting much effort or even straight up AFKing or intentionally hindering their team to make the match take shorter time, which in turn hurts enjoyment of people who actually do want to participate in PvP. This is very different from PvE where in normal content if you have someone who is a bit lacking on your team, you can still get through, you will still win, it would just take longer. But in PvP, where you can lose, it just feels way worse to have someone not trying to win on your team.
Expanding the PvP series to be a game-wide feature including PvE and maybe even crafting/gathering activities would add longevity and enjoyment to all players regardless of what kind of content they like. And to clarify, I don't want to take anything away from PvP, only add to the other aspects of the game. The series should still be doable entirely in PvP if one wishes to.

I down for it if it is also the other way around. Such as add a reward that resets once a week where winning 10 Ranked 5v5 let you pick one savage book of your choice. I play unranked right now, and that will get me to play ranked

This post is presented so horribly. On a first read I thought you were suggesting that there should be MORE battle passes in this game, but I think you're actually suggesting that the existing PVP series should have PVE goals available for progression so that it doesn't force people to only PVP and bog down PVP modes with lethargic gameplay?

Regardless, battle passes suck and when they get added to games that originally did not have them then that is proof that your player base is not inspired to do the content because they want to but because they are now psychologically manipulated into believing that they have to.

Well yes, but I already don't want to do the non-content this game has been throwing at us for years. I'd welcome a reward track for doing the same boring ass fates I've been doing since ARR.

Yes add another one and call it PvE Series, i would love it, it gives me more to grind

Pretty much what I was thinking. I'm cool with this idea as long as the rewards are different than the PvP Series.

PvP Series rewards should stay unique and specific to PvP; and, if PvE Series is implemented, it should have its own rewards that nothing else has access to as well.

new different exclusive series would only exacerbate the issue OP underlined, it would push even more people to do content they don't enjoy because they want the reward, that's simply not healthy, a general track you can progress by doing varied things within the game would naturally fill and add extra incentives for playing the parts of the game you already enjoy

Doesnt matter if they want to do it or not, it gives something for people which want the grind, and if you get forced to do it because you want the "reward" its your own fault, i love the pvp series rewards, i would love to get them all, but i hate pvp atleast in final so i just dont do it and done

so let me get this straight:

- you don't like PvP
- you like rewards
- you would love to get them all
- you don't because it'd mean doing something you hate

this allows you to grind for the things you would love to get without having to interact with what you hate
while not taking it away from people who do like pvp
this would literally improve the time you spend in the game
why are you against this ???

You said its not healthy to force people to do something they dont like because of the rewards, i said it doesnt matter if its healthy or not because if you feel forced to do something you dont like because of the "Rewards" its entirely your own fault and gave you an example for it, like i said i would love to have all PvP Series Rewards but i dont get them because i dont like to play PvP so i just dont do it, the same goes with the PvE Series then, you dont like the content you need to do for it? then just dont do it done

The Reason both PvP and PvE needs seperate Rewards its pretty simple, the PvP Series is currently one of the Reasons why PvP is so healthy and still played besides the daily Frontline, if you now get the same Reward in PvE, what do you think would happen to PvP? And so People can get even more Rewards every few Months, so there is nothing bad to seperate both Series in seperate Rewards.

I am all for having various methods to gain similar rewards. I LOATHE PvP and tire of seeing cool rewards that I know I will never obtain because I HATE to pvp. I just never do it.
I dont bog down games or matches with my useless butt though. I just dont ever Queue for it. Even though it annoys me greatly, Im content knowing the rewards are forever beyond my reach in that regard.

so you're saying the only reason pvp is alive is because there are unique rewards from it and that it would die if not for them ?
that's super unhealthy if it's the case, that would mean:
- SE is wasting resources every patch on a game mode people only play for what comes out of it and not for fun
- the community is forced to artificially keep it alive when SE puts rewards they know people want there

how can you claim to know that

you seem awfully invested in not getting the things you want 🤔

additionally adding new series would take resources that SE is already struggling to spare for other things while OP's solution as stated is way more realizable but if they can add more rewards might as well add them for everyone to enjoy (including those who don't like pvp but not excluding those who do)

Exclusive rewards for specific content is a good thing, full stop.

It incentivizes people to do the various things. There are exclusive rewards for content across the game (not just PvP) to incentivize players to take part in the content and do the various things.

Likewise. If people can get pvp rewards by doing something else for the sake of freedom, which I don't hate, then let me get access to pve rewards by doing pvp, and we're talking.

Sometimes, I would like to have the new stuff from savage raids, but I am not a savage raider, so I will most likely have to wait 1-2 expansions before I can obtain it unsync. Rewards do not manipulate me into believing I have to play something that I do not want to play. I accept that I am not willing to put in the effort and miss out on the reward. You will get your pvp rewards in a year or so for minimal trophy crystals too.

You are conflating something that is added to the game and then exists in perpetuity for you to achieve/acquire whenever you feel like it with a reward system which is time-sensitive and only available an arbitrary amount of time later when the developers feel like adding it in, if at all? While any new shiny item could instill the fear of missing out in someone who wants it ASAP, only one of these reward structures is offered in such a way that you must participate a certain amount within a certain timeframe or else you are left to the whims of the developers.

And don't let me forget to mention that this is a rare game that actually has finally opened up old rewards from time-sensitive events. That is not the norm in this industry. (Also ignoring that it was completely manipulative of Yoshi P to mention adding old Series rewards in the trophy crystal shop eventually but then say nothing about it for 3 years til they felt like finally doing it.)

But they DO add old rewards now, so chill and be happy? I also have to wait to get savage stuff. Practice patience. It's not that hard. And you can still do frontlines and be helpful taking care of the objectives at least if you are scared of the fight.

I second this, however I would like it even more if I could get those savage books by doing Frontline too.

If I win 10 frontlines I should get a guaranteed book of my choice.
If I lose 15, my effort should still be rewarded with one of those books. That way we're continually making progress as long as we're participating and it won't be a waste of time.

I think the 10 ranked 5v5 wins should be a higher step up, like an ultimate totem of my choice since its a lot harder.
