When was the last time you decorated your House?

Mine was today... I started working on it yesterday, and today I saw that my neighbor of 3 years FINALLY bothered to update a corner of his. If you don't, and assuming it's not because you don't own one, why?

I don't particularly like the new items, they're too cutesy... But I got to work with what we're given. Here's what I got so far: (The obnoxious red color is to piss off my Ward)

Owning a large house is hard, too much open space and only 40 slots to cover it.
It's a shame that the new Chocobo fountain doesn't have any lights, it's hard to appreciate at night. I first tried to combine it with the Bismark one, but I so needed the extra slot to fill the yard.

So yeah, why own a house if you don't decorate it?
Or if you do share yours :D I need fresh ideas to steal while I wait for 7.3.

I think about 2022. My fc moved a few months later and I haven’t found the motivation to bother again since so it’s pretty slapdash outside the cellar. Maybe if it’s still there after I come back from being unsubscribed.

Never, i got a M House in Shirogane and never bothered to decorate it tbh, the only reason i got it was because i wanted a big garden for my training dummys xD

I don't have any more outdoor space or storage space so redecorating would require too much shifting things in and out of inventories and finding other places to put things.

For the interior I'm waiting to see if they make it so my small house can be bigger on the inside, and then I'd redecorate.

I really like how you combined the lampposts and the hedges in that right corner near the fountain. I might try it out!


I redesigned my garden around 4 times, with a long period of it being awkwardly empty after I changed out the exterior and didn't know what to do with the layout (previous layout could no longer be used, and I wanted to do something different anyways). The interior has been suffering the world's longest renovation ever, going for over a year now? It's never been finished, I keep moving stuff and changing my mind, and I just don't have enough slots for what I wanna do. Here's to hoping the LL in just a bit over an hour gives us something to work with!

The second I got my cozy small plot at P41 empyreum.

Sadly there isn’t much ways to play around with only 20/20, and I prefer smaller yard for RP purposes.

I tend to rearrange the garden of mine more frequently than the interior to be honest.

Just last weekend; I'm always tinkering around and trying new desgins. Love the housing in this game despite the flaws.

I had several larges for multiple years and never finished decorating them because nobody visits, and I have to leave my world to do any content. I gave up my last large auto demo three days ago.

I fully decorated my house (M) just after Dawntrail's launch. I've messed around with it here and there since then, but until they finally give us some housing updates or I manage to win a Large, then it will stay that way.

In the Starlight Celebration from 2020 we got a bunch of ice themed things.
So I made an ice hotel of sorts. I don't think I've done much with it then because I quite like it. I think I added a few food items here and there to some tables but the majority never changed.

It's been five years let's get some more snow and ice themed objects so I can do some upgrades! XD

Yesterday I made changes to my garden. I did not care to do much housing during this patch (so, for FOUR MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) since I was promised we would get housing updates in 7.3.

I was waiting patiently for the item limit update to come along so I HOPEFULLY wouldn't need to wall off huge sections of my houses. No such luck. Also why are you trying to annoy your ward? Can't say I care if someone has an ugly house next to mine. One of mine is a giant candy cane house with sweets in the garden. Happily my fellow ward peeps there also like it and even have one too.

Back to guild wars 2 I go till they bother to update the houses. I do look forward to the new expansion they drop soon.

It's been a while. I'm scared to take it all apart and start over again, because what if I change my mind midway through? Not like I can reload my old decoration. And getting everything right the first time was a really . . . tedious process, let's just say that.
Meanwhile, for my apartment, I've been out of space for years.

I used to feel this way, but recently I've gotten into the mood of starting fresh so to speak.
Can't do that on my FC's Large House though. Storage is full, my inventory is full, my retainers are full, my saddle is full, my personal house AND apartment... full. I got 0 slots to even begin to dismantle the whole thing.

So I had to settle for updating just the exterior for the time being :c

Couple weeks ago, for my housing exterior. Haven't changed the interior since I got my medium though. Expecting to change that If I manage to finally land a large this week.

Every time I stop by, which is at least one each time I log in. I'm always removing something to add a new item.

Just received my Sapphire bust so I had to make room for it!

A few days ago, I'm constantly shifting things around and I even had started preparing for the limit expansion that now won't arrive in 7.3. I always decorate for all of the events in game both inside and out.

I have a apartment in a FC house and the last time I did, Shadowbringers

I bought an apartment because I don’t want to deal with the garbage housing mechanics. I take alot of breaks as well.

Made it into a sort of war room. Just need one or two more items to decorate it and pretty much won’t do anything more with it. Except if a new furniture piece comes out, though recently just getting items for outsides only. Not useful lol

I can't change the inside of my small house since I got a home decorator, and it has too many items to store.

I do try to change the garden with each season, if that counts. Usually, spring/summer have flowering trees, and fall has maple, then finally winter has illumination.

Haven't touched my Mansion since before 7.0 when it got in the air we would get changes...

I rotate out the seasonal decorations on the front yard of my private house.

Thanks for the reminder, it's time to put the kiddie pool out!

Few weeks ago?

I always tweak some things when new furniture arrives and I can replace one or more items with another. For instance, I had built a pool table with way too many items and when they added a real one, I was able to win a few slots. Still waiting for the never-coming-update to express my full creativity and finally use all the space in my houses (I barely use the entire ground floor at the moment).

It's been a while, however, I would play with decorating a lot more frequently if the bags to store existing stuff were much larger.

Lol I usually worry that I’ll regret redecorating so I tend to pick a design and never change it
