Can we have all regular Trials under Duty Support as well?

... I've been sitting on a Recollection queue for almost 40 minutes now, as a dps, needing this encounter to progress with the story. And crazy that it's the current patch still. Can't even imagine if I was behind on more outdated content.

It would be that hard to implement Duty Support for the Trials? They do for some and not for others, what gives? Not enough story characters to do it?... Just fill with "random summoned WoL NPCs", simple.

Duty support already hurts the story as it is, since there have to be some familiar NPCs around (Even when they shouldn't) to be your duty support companions. On top of that, there should be a line drawn where this game can support players and when they have to feel the MMO part of it.

What you suggest for those insane queue times, then? Not likely is an empty datacenter (Crystal), and was what is usually a busy hour of the weekend.

As for the story, just don't make it related to the game characters and use WoL generic NPCs summoned with the Crystal of Azem. Nothing changes on that front.

Materia resident here - we get around this problem by just using party finder. There's always people wanting to get first time bonus, second chance points and also triple triad card chances. The parties never take that long to fill.

ARR handled this better but if square continues to do a zarool ja situation with duty support then it shouldn’t be supported because duty support ruined DT’s already bad story by dragging along characters that didn’t need to be there

I agree that some characters have a very problematic staying to just fill those spots. But again, they didn't have to, when the WoL has that crystal to summon <random> people from whatever other worlds to help them.

1. SE said they find it very challenging to make it for trials, for some reason. They said the level 89 trial was a "test".
2. Clearly, they wanted to do it for the level 89, 93 and 99 trials for storytelling reasons ie. Valigarmanda just makes more sense with Duty Support the way the story set it up.
3. They aren't sure they want to do it for all trials because they want there to be some big bosses that players tackle together.
4. They are aware that trials are a faceroll ie. you can die 20 times and the rest of the party will carry you while yawning. The fact there are two healers means the responsibility is not all on them like in a dungeon, so there is less pressure.

However, lack of support for trials sort of defeats the point of adding support for dungeons, which is to tell people "you can play this solo now". So I can see them doing it eventually anyway. I was surprised they did not announce it for 7.x actually.

Now, if you queue for lower level trials, it will be easier to get into. The reason for this is that the higher level you queue, the less people are in queue for Trial roulette.

Think about those in queue for Trial roulette:

• 500 are 50+
• 400 are 60+
• 300 are 70+
• 200 are 80+
• 100 are 90+
• 2 people are level 100. Mentor roulette generally picks up some of the slack here.

Clearly, level 50 trials will be the easiest to get a pop on because 500 people in queue are eligible.

That’s the problem, they COULD wave it away as “Azem Crystal magic” but they never do for some ungodly reason and the game suffers for it

I don’t know why square keeps doing it but while they are prone to keep doing it I don’t particularly trust them
