Will I be able to download the game on PS3 for free? Or will I have to buy another copy of a game I already bought?
You'll have to buy a PS3 copy. PC will be free download but PS3 will not.
Thanks. I better get some GD bonus content.
Legacy is your bonus content.
No, legacy is a deal for members that stuck with square enix. I already bought the game on PC. I am planing to buy it on PS3 for convenience. I just saying, I would be more likely to rush out and get in on PS3 if it comes with an exclusive item. Like the Onion Helm in the collectors edition.
I NEED to play it on my HD tv, my pc wont hookup to the tv without a new videa card
I feel that the PS3 version should get their Collector's Edition that was earlier promised by Tanaka. What rewards? Well I guess you people can argue over that.
It'd look miles better on a PC than any TV.
Anyways, that's your incentive to playing it on the PS3, no bonus needed! Glad I could be of help.
Can you take the $60 you would spend on the PS3 game, add $40, and buy a new video card that has an HDMI port?
There will probably be bonus content for PS3 users, like how people with the PC Collector's Edition got Onion Helms or how people with active FFXI accounts got the Hermes' Shoes.
My PC has a nice TV with a wireless controller + keyboard on a comfy couch. Your argument is invalid.Quote:
Some people prefer their consoles over the PC. Just like on XI. And a nice TV with a wireless controller + keyboard on a comfy couch? Oh yes.
You can use gamepads on a PC, and you can hook PCs up to a TV. Therefore, I've never really seen the point in owning both platforms.
you both took the words right out of my mouth I'm glad you guys posted that and here i'll go a step further
Vga-hdmi

dvi-hdmi

plus if you have any type of hd television it should have a vga cnnection to it for pc to begin with all lcd tv's on up even plasma tvs have them. I used to do tech support for Philips Magnox and taught people how to connect their tv. My computer is connected to my tv with dvi-hdmi and i had it connected via vga at one point. *has a 26 in lcd/led lg tv*
At the very least it had better stay the same price as it is right now ($19.99).
i highly doubt that
http://www.amazon.com/Final-Fantasy-.../dp/B002BRZ79E
right now amazon has ps3 version for it for 39.99
yeah there isn't an exact release date yet we all know it's going to be soon though we just have one more patch before alpha and all that hopefully they're giving us time to do the new content and do as much as we can before shutdown. I was just saying the price wasn't going to be 19.99 atleast not through amazon... checked gamestop and they're showing original ps3 version to be 59.99
The PS3 version is going to be markedly different from the PC version, so I doubt they'll do it for free.
I do think it should come with some custom content though.
At Sony Gamescom 2012 presentation they mentioned Cross-Buy. They want to try to implement it on many games that have cross-platform play with PS3. It is a feature of which if you buy one cross-platform game with PS3 or PS Vita versions then you only need to buy one copy of the game to play on both systems. They've already done this with one of Valve's game called Portal 2. Buy one copy and you'll be able to play it on Mac, PC and PS3 with your same account.
So its possible they might do it with SE. Would be cool
PS3 Version should come with that Meteor Survivor T-shirt Yoshi was wearing
However SE already said you need to buy both versions and actually register the PS3 version key if you want the ability to play on PS3.

If you look at your SE account notice you will see FFXIV windows version registered. You can not log into the PS3 version with your account unless you have a PS3 code registered as well. Even if your friend has a PS3 and you want to log in on your Windows account not going to work without a PS3 version on your account.
Most of the video cards that meet the spcs for the game have DVI or HDMI out so it can be hooked to an HDTV. IT looks great on a 1080p TV in 3D.
This isn't a Sony feature. It's a Steam feature, and it's called SteamPlay, not "CrossBuy."Quote:

Yeah, you will definitely have to buy the one on PS3...it's like FF13...If I buy it on Xbox360 I don't get it for free for PS3 :p
So like, if I buy FFIV for GBA and then they release a DS version, I have to buy the DS version?!
If you're wanting to play it on a different platform, then you pay again. SE originally released XIV on PC, so 2.0 is free on PC since it's the game we should have got originally, paid for when we bought XIV.
Inb4 QQ: when XIV came out, we were told that PS3 version was "coming soon". If, hypothetically, the PS3 release of 1.0 worked out, would you expect to pay for it again? Yes. This is no different.
well personally, I have 2 accounts, so therefore with or without a CE I'll be getting the PS3 version so I may "legally" play both accounts at once.
