Bring back better Ranked PvP Rewards

We used to get mounts and glamour for reaching top 100 back when the feast was a thing and now they've seemingly moved those rewards to rank 25 in a series and now all you get from rank rewards is a framer's kit, trophy crystals and some weapon vfx.

Is it too much to ask for better rewards for ranked PvP like we used to get, It doesn't even need to be for top 100 they could just give it if you reach a certain rank or number of wins in a rank, anything to give more incentive to climb each season because what we have now is just a bit lacking.

Having something to aim for would be really good for the health of Ranked queue.

They really should at the very least do some minimum effort additions. Like just make recolors of the Series Armors, Minons, Mounts and give them to different ranks. Maybe add a badge or small effect for top 300.

Also having some long term goals, like reach Rank X or Top 300 5/8/10 times and give big titles, like Crystalline Legend at the end. A new armor set that costs tons of Wolf Collars (Trophy Crystal dump) and can be upgraded with plenty of Commendation Crystals to get bigger effect, be it glowy aura or something else, piece by piece.

There's so much they could do to make it more lucrative to actually compete each Season. I'm sure people will bring up the potential wintrading and whatnot as they usually do, but that's entirely moderation issue, if they actually bothered to take harsher action it would die down fast. We saw the obvious wintrader back in season 2 on Light get slap on wrist and their points removed instead of getting their account suspended.

Going beyond just Ranked though, they should add some Hunt shop stuff for Wolf Marks, give us Aetheryte tickets at very least and maybe a tradeable new dye or two.

they should yes but they should also add more PvP item you can buy with wolf mark because well there isn't much

Also pair it with a grace period and then everyone can buy it, kind of like season rewards. Having exclusive mounts locked behind content only 100 people per server can ever get isn't good design. But is good if after a year or 2 seasons or whatever everyone can simply buy it. You get exclusivity for a time, everyone gets it eventually.

I wouldn't mind getting more exp/tomes per round in Ranked compared to Casual either.

No. What this game needs is a mount that you can only get it you are doing every non PvP sub 90 roulette 5 days a week. Two of which have to be done on a Tuesday and a wednesday.

I rather not have ranked PvP rewards, because ultimately a lot of CC comes down to if the game manages to give you an actual team or if you're stuck basically fighting 1v5.

If it was all about random rolling your team, the same people wouldn't always climb into thousands of crystal credit.

The PvP in this game is garbage tbh it's basicaly ARAM from LOL without communications, items, minions, etc. it's just a hollow husk of course some player are better to press 4 buttons (and use add-on/cheat) but at the end of the day, with enough games anyone can climb up it's just soooooooo fucking boring. They should just use their ressources somewhere else

The high rank Feast rewards had a lot of issues, namely cheating/hacking(which SE did nothing about) and win trading(which SE did nothing about). If they can't/won't address them(they can't/won't), the thresholds need to be so loose that they might as well not exist.

Only when proper regional DF is ready.

I know raiders are used to this but as a spoiled PvP head, I don't like having to DC travel to rank. Sometimes Revival Discord is there to let me know if it's popping, but if I DC travel and can't find a Diamond or Crystal match, it feels pretty awful.

gw2's ranked has an entire reward track just for ranked, and it can be progressed at the same time as unranked's reward track. ff14 can do the same but l doubt if they will ever devote that much effort.

This game has a serious cheating problem that shouldn't be ignored. The "Plugin" used to cheat has been downloaded over 100,000 times, and that’s not even counting all the win trading going on. Let’s not forget that this community infamously cheated to earn a title in Fall Guys. Ranked rewards will only incentivize more of this behavior. My vote is a hard no. Keep exclusive rewards locked behind official tournaments where cheating can be monitored.

That is all on SQEX to do something about it, if they had balls to ban people it would stop.
I don't know how bad the situation is in NA, but most of the regulars in EU that stream don't seem to have any visible plugins to help them.

I wouldn't mind seeing ALL the mods get deleted from the game if it ensured no cheating in any content.

Still waiting for the regular PvP reward system to be updated.

There is a full pvp discord Europe that is owned by a person who boasts about using plugins in pvp and he even has a channel dedicated on YouTube to show how to install one . Most people above diamond on Europe are using plugins .if you are ignorant to situation that is on u

If most people are really using plugins then it's pretty sad how they don't seem to play any better than the regular grinders.

Only if devs dismantle the "wont be rereleased ever again" promise, and make the feast stuff purchaseable as replicas with trophy crystals. And agree to make CC stuff purchaseable as well, one xpack later or whatever.

That wouldn't stop things like teleport hacking, which the game also can't detect and SE isn't willing to manually monitor.

Some of these "aids" are subtle enough that user error can still allow those that use them to 'come a cropper, yes. Examples include some targeting improvement thing, where iirc it allows you to assign a key to target the lowest health player in the moment, also the "most optimal aoe target". No this plugin was not even aimed at pve, it stated pvp. An unfair advantage yes, but it can be played around, and I do... what I suspect to be often. Doesn't make them okay. Not at all. And devalues anything the user of these things may be trying to achieve in their minds (not that it'd be apparent to them). It's naïve to think all plugins are visible on screen also. If they are, those videos tend to self-destruct right quick and vanish.

I think when people see "hacks" mentioned, they imagine bot-level GM channel manipulation, or speedhacking or something (which are super obvious) when a lot of it involves tools like the one described. None of this is okay. "But-but- these are things the devs should include as standard buttons!" doesn't matter. While there's a majority that are not privy to such aids, it's underhanded. It's also far harder for the observer to get evidence to prove what they're seeing is as thus. It comes down to noting subjective inconsistencies in a suspect's playstyle, and at times that's like attempting to read body language in a crime suspect in court. It's not absolute. It's also not totally inaccurate in some cases.

Not even gonna touch the more people power-driven exploits that is wintrading and the like. Just wanted to cover some plugin shenanigans. Can be a rather sad state of affairs when it peaks, and it really does make the notion of those former season exclusive goodies being a badge of honour rather laughable.
