When will we get neon hair colors?

I want bright hair like solution 9!!! Idk if its just me or my pc but viera has such a dull hair color selection compared to other races :( we keep losing i just want one win

we will probably get it in 8.0 if we ever get it that is because Viera can't wear all hat yet to

Just an expansion of the red portion of the palette would be an upgrade. The reds we have are overblended with brown/orange.

i think there is a limit of optionslots they can put into character creation because of their programming.

but it really is about time they find a solution for it

I mean we are Eorzeans, our hair is not suppose to be neon colours, would it be nice to have the option sure, but Im not thst bothered myself

You can't play Au Ra because they're not from Eorzea. Oh wait, nevermind.
But Viera! Super rare! They rarely venture out from - oh, guess you can.
But Hrothgar They're from places even further than Othard beyond - and you can.
But Hrothgar women are super, duper, extra rare so you won't be able to - well, I guess you can.

Well, you're from Eorzea if you headcanon you're from Eorzea. Because that's actually a really small area compared to all the places you visit and your origin is never specified.

i wouldnt like if a lot of people suddenly run around with those extreme hair colours
but looking at all the glam i gave immersion up a long time ago.
lore though is a pretty weak argument... we can just import hair dye from solution 9... or tataru crafts some for us

The colors are from 1.0's beta, but were removed before release because at least one of the decision makers(I don't know if it was Tanaka) thought they were out of place in the setting. Since the current team doesn't care about things like that, I wouldn't be surprised if they get added by 8.0.

We're actually not from Eorzea, it's mentioned in the opening cutscene we came from somewhere else/unknown.

I read a rumor in the past that due to a glitch, players were able to change their hair to neon colors which were not available and were allowed to keep them long time ago.

What I mean is that clearly the technology is there, so let us be happy for once :)

We have enough aposematic themes in game, please no more.

I'd rather they dedicate their time developing more fruitful means for the game. Instanced Housing, and mechanics of placement, events and rewards, updating QoL like the dyes and glamour system (Black Desert has the perfect dye system), tacklebox for fishing, meaningful job changes, balance and gameplay content.

New characters in 2.0 and on are kind of awkwardly placed without the legacy dialogue and cutscenes, but the WoL is supposed to have been sent 5 years forward in time by Louisoux regardless. They canonically experienced 1.X and were assimilated by Eorzea's cultures regardless of what backstory you come up with. Regardless, I don't think there's a single culture native to the Source that has neon hair.

Also true of Earth, but thanks to Manic Panic I spent much of my teens and early twenties rotating through neon blues, pinks and reds.

They have different groups working on different content, like players getting more CC options, won't change the fact that we don't have instanced housing in this lifetime.

The only group that's been AWOL is the adjusting hats for viera/hroth in 2025.

Huh what's 1.0 got do with this doesn't change WoL in 1.0 is also not from Eozera Region, 1.0 starts treated you as a outsider just like 2.0 also we're running out of map for WoL to be from we've been treated as an outsider in every location we've been so far so we've got basically Meracydia left & maybe couple unknown places to be from or Hydaelyn just plucked us out of life stream & put us in an adult body.

I think the character creator could do with some improvements
It'd be nice if it were overhauled down the line once they finish with the graphics update

Regarding the hair color though I'm a bit torn
I think it'd be fun if they had something to do with Jandelaine in solution 9, but I wouldn't want something in the character creator to be tied to a quest players wouldn't get to until level 100 after sinking several of hours into the story

ah yes lets stick to 20 variations of purple dye that does not look like purple at all. don't forget to up natural ff14's gray shade next patch.

i really liked "previous" dyes like ruby red and pink one because they actually LOOK like red and pink. if only this game had more vibrant colors.

I would definitely use neon.

It would be nice to get them... But that would require them to update the character creation options, and because of the Amiga CD32 limitations we can't have more options.

I would love neon highlights that would glow in black lights if that were possible, also create furnishings that do the same that look normal under normal lighting and glow when exposed to a black light, I want to add neon glowing stars on my ceiling lol. If they have to update the character creator, let us have more cake back there at least as large as the 2B leggings, I hate seeing my girls being so flat back there without the 2B leggings when I want to wear tights and such too :(

Let us meet a Jannquinard Shard in S9 that allows us extra colours.
