I wish we had NM raid weapons

NM raid gear lacks the weapon, and I see literally zero reason why this isn't the case.

The weapon model already exists for savage, and like for the rest of the set, is only dyable in its savage version. Why can't we have access to an undyable NM raid weapon too? For once I really do love the NM raid sets we have this tier, and I'd love to also get the weapons that go so well with it.

I do not see any logic in letting the casual scene get access to the same raid gear (but undyable) as the raiders, but not to an undyable weapon, this makes literally zero sense to me. And like for the NM raid gear, it's not like item level is even a problem for starters, NM gear is already a thing, so why not the weapon?

I wish they did what wow does and have a normal version of raid gear and weapons, thats also dyeable, then make the savage versions have extra parts or effects on them. that'd be cool, instead of dyeing being the main appeal for savage cosmetics

Like the normal weapons would be what we have now, savage would have a glow like ultimate weapons do

We had already glowy savage weapons, and people complained the shit out of it because it was only through savage




back to topic yea i think a normal version weapon with the same ilevel then the nm raid gear should be something good
but i guess they dont do it because of crafted weapons and ex trials weapons, and for armor you have normal raid and crafted, that both versions have kind of a option

I honestly don't see an issue with it. Why are more options bad? Also, on the subject of it, why is only the savage gear dyable? It's not like the savage gear isn't already better because of stats. It just seems like a giant waste of time and a sad attempt to get people to propagate low percentage completion activities that the vast majority of players ignore. I'm sorry, but when something shows up in savage that I absolutely have to have, I wait two expansions and face roll it. It doesn't make me do it now. Sorry, but until you make it more accessible it's just timegated for the sake of timegating.

most of them are kinda ugly this time around so you're not missing much - the thing you get from savage really to show off is the mount.
BUT I couldn't see the harm in making a like undyable version for normal raids or even two separate versions of the same weapon where one has a glowey animated effect to it and one doesn't.

So like i don't understand why someone would complain about that
Just go faceroll it in 2 years during the next expansion if you're not good enough for savage
It's not permanent prestige like ultimates

they obviously want the weapon to be a bit more 'special' and harder earned so its a combination of normal raid and tome stones

and also pretty hard time locked... why is gear in the game with 20(!) jobs on one character so extremely time locked?

I always though the tome weapon WAS the normal raid weapon, considering that you need seven raid weapon tokens to buy the thing, savage just gets you there faster, same for the augment version - you can do savage to get the token faster or just wait for the AR and spend coins on it.

Armor has crafted too, and ex trial weapons are still better by item level alone anyway.

The tome weapon isn't the normal raid weapon, because it is the tomestone set weapon. The fact that it is linked to both NM and savage tokens only serves to muddy the waters. In fact, since it is also obtainable from savage tokens, then by that logic it would also be the savage raid weapon, yet it is not.

Then gate NM raid gear behind savage too, else it makes zero sense to have one and not the other (and make NM raid rewards even more hollow in the process..).

I can second this to a degree like if I glam hunt I will always get the dyable one but like in Endwalker then first four normal raids hooked me up but the two others not in the slightest. so ya I could steamroll later but if I hate the raids I will not be tempted.

what they could do tho is the normal gear only get one dyable option and savage could get two instead

It would also be nice to have normal mode versions of the raid weapons as options we could use when starting Extreme or Savage.

If they’re the same ilvl as the other normal raid gear then they wouldn’t make Extreme weapons redundant. And if they were acquired in a similar way as other normal raid gear then they wouldn’t make crafted gear redundant either - we’d still have to pick and choose which normal raid gear we’re rolling for and we can’t get it all in a week.

Raiders can go clear Extreme again if they want a weapon for a different job but obviously people who are starting Extreme don’t have that option.

I would like this as well. It's not like it takes anything away from savage players and it would be great for more options especially for people who may not want to go buy crafted stuff.

there really is a lack of possibilities to get weapons for casual players.

If anything I only see benefits with this:

1) Doesn't devalue anything from savage or extreme
2) Brings more itemization and gearing to the casual experience, which truly lacks in that department
3) Brings additional incentives for players to run (and farm) casual content

Simple reason. For pretty much everything: Yoshi P runs a tight schedule and formula. There is rarely room for innovation. Pretty sure SE isnt giving them resources either.

All the copers need to learn some Japanese communication too. Yoshi P is a perfect example.

Anything that isnt a direct yes or no when it comes to answering questions you can assume is a NO.
