I dunno the final raid boss for the last 2 expansions has been a large woman so I think M stands for Mommy and it'll be Metem's mom as the boss.
So you think the announcer is the final boss?
This isn't Shao Kahn, we're not in Mortal Kombat.
If we get an "IT WAS ME, AUSTIN!!!" moment from Metem... well... I won't mind. lol.
I suspect the final boss will be the owner of the arcadion and the entire operation. I bet he has some nefarious plans, and he used the fighters as test subjects to enhance himself and achieve his ultimate form.
I think the president is Gabbro and he's gonna do some pictomancer type stuff just with stories. He's a cartoonist as well, after all.
I mean, it makes no sense why he would push his fighters to keep fighting affected by the Nekrosis. If his ultimate goal were to get rich, keeping his top earners in top shape and funding a way to cure/ or allow a safe use of the Feral souls, he would have done it. Yet, it's clear that getting rich is not his ulterior motive.
Probably, he started the entire thing to fund his own research. Keep in mind apparently this tournament was before the migration of Alexandrians.. so... ye.
What would it be like if the dude were an Ascian and this was his way to unleash a calamity? Now that would be hilarious as hell and totally unexpected for me
I'm fully expecting an Ascian to be the president. With the Unsundered gone and Zoraal Ja's war over, why not sit back and reopen the Arcadion to have fun with the Warrior of Light?
Part of me has a feeling it's Metem, but I don't think that is what the M stands for
When it first released I've seen 'Match' thrown around, so it's Match 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.
Which makes sense to me and probably what they were going for
It wouldn't surprise me if it is him, however, and that the scene of being punched was just for show
I did see others talk about how the other fighters would definitely know, but there's a chance he had managed to keep it hidden but I'm not sure how.
Never speaking in person and using a voice changer could work, or it could be revealed that whoever is shown to be the president had just been a figure head
We'll have to wait and see
I still think will see a Zenos shard during the last round - come on, IF hes there, thats the place he gotta be. He might even be the boss lol
I do hope the boss is actually evil and didnt just fake all those deaths and all to add drama to his play...
If it was Metem I feel like his own adopted son(?) would have recognized him.
He was in the room with us when we last speak to the President and he's the one who called him out as such when he showed up on the TV instead of calling him Metem. Unless he's had a voice changer thing and has never been in the same room as him ever.
Honestly, I'd not mind if Metem turned out to be the President, and all this time he was pretending to be an announcer. Although I think this is unlikely, or else it will have been known. After all, Solution nine is a modern city with Television and media coverage, so it's hard to be the president without anyone else knowing what you look like.
Metem reopened the Arcadion to start with, and he has a flair for theatrics, so he's probably the mastermind behind everything just pretending to be a simple announcer for our benefit.
As for the citizens of Solution Nine knowing what he looks like, I get the impression the "President" is a mysterious character by design, so they probably *don't* know what he looks like.
