BLM player base is why we can't have nice caster balance in FFXIV

I would gladly sacrifice all of Black Mage's damage to keep Endwalker's Black Mage rotation, hell even just locking it to where 7.1 Black Mage is right now. Let Machinist take Black Mage's spot, and put Black Mage at the bottom. I don't care about damage, or relative balance. I care about having a job that I enjoy playing and optimizing.

Not a single soul cares about damage numbers here. It's about the class actually being fun to play because it has the same nuance and depth that it currently does. Though, to be utterly frank, most of us want Endwalker Black Mage back. It was genuinely a perfect class.

There is no winning with you is it? If it's a flood of new account users coming to display their discontentment, they're "alts flooding the forum with no history nor any weight".

RDM chain rez and SMN eating crayons is why we cant have nice caster balance.

RDM's my favorite job in the game but if it takes destroying job diversity for this so-called 'nice caster balance', then no thanks

I mean, I readily agree playing Black Mage seems to ensure that you exist of 99% complaints and crybaby behavior and only 1% player. It's like self-loathing, only in job form. Seems to attract a certain "type".

That being said, regardless of that I think the changes are bad. I am all for sweeping changes to Black Mage, but not these ones. In some regards they don't go nearly far enough, in others they do, but in the wrong direction.

Nobody plays blm since endwalker. Since new bosses mechanincs apears its a pain do damage and standing still as blm.

I managed to do p9s on black mage no issue and I'm a fairly casual raider.

The fun thing about black mage was the lack of mobility with long casts, you had to know when to use triple cast and xenoglossy, now that you can pretty much slide cast and don't have full cast times theirs no point in even having these mobility tools in the first place.
