Lock cloud behind savage please

I'm sorry but it's getting ridiculous how badly optimized this content was. This fight Is savage level difficulty. And not locking it behind savage has been a massive mistake which has forced the playerbase to take action into their own hands. And these methods are sadly oft against tos...

In eu we have a massive problem with these parties called "easy clear for you, have 50% hp experience" where they invite 6 people with no fight knowledge and literally boost them through the fight. Which has caused a huge decline in the quality of players doing this fight.

But if there was SOME KIND OF LOCK I think the quality of this fight would soar. A lot of people grind the mount and never come back. Which really sucks cause man this fight is excellent for learning to adapt. It feels like a real raid. As a pvp player I resonate so well with it.. but. It's just not a fun experience on pf because it has a pretty rough enrage check (all things considered) and yet the barrier to entry is so low. Also 710 level is a joke right? I don't see any universe 710 could clear this

by this logic savage shouldn't even have a lock because its a gatekeep. but if its a gatekeep around progression then i think its the interest of the community. but that's only while they continue to make these fights impossible for PF

We are about have have higher ilv gear in a month or less, this isn't needed when regular tome gear will be enough for better clears.

I find it funny how chaotic was unlocked faster than savage raid.

i think it might be a good thing to lock it behind sphene ex.

savage would be way over the top. needing 24 people on extreme lvl does not make the content savage lvl difficulty

Savage difficulty raids aren't locked behind anything but doing the normal versions, so why should something else that is barely savage difficulty be locked behind anything?

I don't do savage raids and chaotic is some of the most fun I've had in group content in FFXIV. It's right in the sweet spot I think, though the PF experience is utter misery.

This is your billionth thread complaining about this fight.

I dont do savage but trying cloud made me instantly ignore it, to me its beyond no fun. its a 24 ppl trial with way too many dead ends, no raid. It should require at least the current ex trial though, cause just entering is too easy - and it should have an 10 clear Achievement like Eureka or Bozja.

The chaotic raid is so weird because you don’t need to be any good at doing mechanics to get to phase 2, because in phase 1 you can’t cause huge problems unless you either kill everyone with the flare or you die as a tank. And then in phase 2 if you die (regardless of role) it can be hard to get raised and then get into position fast enough for the next mechanic that will cause a big problem if it’s not done right.

And then we all get annoyed with PF because we have a mechanical consistency test and bodycheck several minutes into what’s seemingly intended to be a beginner-friendly raid. Instead of adding more requirements before being able to enter, they should rethink the design of the raid itself.

Extreme does not teach the usual hidden mechanics of savage like baits and debuff icon cooldowns. Extremes are very graceful at revealing that info to players from its visuals alone. I do think this would be an improvent to the chaotic. It would reduce cone pvp.

But i think there is only 2 problem areas:
- Rezzing from inner to outer ring, since there is no way to walk/teleport back, it means that deaths outside are significantly deadlier. Resolving this can fix several problems and make the towers at the side better managable.
- While hands have a clear indicator, the cones in p2 dont. There is also no real indicator towards players for usual timings of these, so its hard to learn. even in p1 you see others getting the timer. Making it very clear what is going on. I think p2 would benefit a lot here as it prevents some major pvp.

And yes, the looming/tower wall is to me what should be kept. Its harsh, but its also the only good criterium that realy defines a team that can clear or not. Vagueness and reaching enrages all the time isnt helping to players. Being harsher is. And with some better rezzes, recoveries do become better here, as even if 1 or 2 towers are missed, with a good team its not a wipe (not even close).
