Solution for races which can't wear hats

Viera and Hrothgar cannot wear hats and this is fine. Their heads are furry enough to keep them naturally warm and their fuzzy little ears don't fit under a hat. It just makes sense.

But Miqo'te also have furry heads with fuzzy little ears on top and they can wear hats just fine. This double standard is too much. Thus I petition Square Enix to bring equality to the races of FFXIV by disabling hats for Miqos. Thank you for your time

I've had headgear turned off since ARR so sure, whatever.

No, that's not enough.

We should remove the slot for headgear entirely so that everybody is frustrated equally and see how f-ing stupid it is to have no access to hats because of a handful of hairstyles instead of disabling them for those alone.

But that would make too much sense for CS3, I guess.

Why stop there? Let's just remove hats from the game entirely like we did belts! We can put those slots to use in our bloated armories instead. Clearly Square Enix is struggling to make headwear for all the characters, let's just save them the trouble of having to try.

They've been heading in that direction since at least Stormblood, by no longer bothering to add ear pockets or ear holes on many gear pieces for miqote.

Another Dawntrail feature is the removal of tails from miqote armor pieces as well. And as a bonus, the devs have been hard at work applying this regression in the form of removal of ears to the elezen and lalafell races too, they get to enjoy the experience of having their ears cut from certain headgear models.

thats fine, the minimum they can do is give Hrothgar and Viera cool bands and tiaras and such at least if they are going to cop out honestly. those are equip able still.

I shall try to tip my hat in front of every Hrothgar and Viera I see who shows disdain towards my fashion sense. May the glory of hats raine and the hatless bunnies and oversized cats suffer in their absurd jealousy.

I guess it's not just the hair that needs hatmodels. It's also the headshape that is different from Hyr, Miqote and so on.

Is this an excuse to not deliver adjustment? I don't think so. Not for so many years.

looks like it, some of the hat on my Miqo'te is identical to my lalafell. i.e. when wear some hat it looks like the ears on Miqo'te being "pressed" on the head/skull

I think we should also double the sub-fee. Just in case. We need to keep this struggling dev team fed. They must be starving after all the hard work they have been doing for us.

I'd love to see SE address hats for Hrothgar and Viera... but have a throwback to FFXII. You know how you could find a great piece of armor, like a hat, and not know how to "wear it" since you didn't have the license. I guess you'd try to put a hat on your foot or something since you didn't know any better?

How about when they hit level 105 or something in the next expansion, they earn a passive trait "Common Sense" that allows them to wear gear on their heads finally. It only took some life experience to figure out where hats go.
