The Tural bridge is the perfect spot for another Gilgamesh trial, I hope they don't miss the opportunity. They can do so much fun stuff with a giant loooooong bridge.

Please look forward to it in two more years when patch 7.55 comes out lol. Those hildibrand / bonus trials usually come at the very tail end of the expac sadly.
That's just what we need, Hildibrand recycling even more jokes
the lvl 50 hildibrand trials are the worst in the game last thing we need is more of them, iof anything we need something like the lvl 70 trial again thats the best hildy trial so far
also a proper yojimbo fight would be nice
If they miss this opportunity then maybe DT will be the worse expansion.
Only if they bring back voices. Battle on the Big Bridge was the first voiced trial in the game, but then Gilgamesh never got voiced again.
Great all we need is more "hilarious" hildibrand jokes.
I am for this. I hope it happens.
I would like Battle on the Biggest Bridge to be a remake of the now-removed Steps of Faith, please.
Battle on the Even Bigger Bridge, with max sized Gilgamesh. :3
Ok. Im picturing the fight arena from the obsolete steps of faith. Greg is so large he's standing off the bridge to the left or right and his hitbox is at least a quarter of the bridge wide. He periodically jumps from one side to the other to change things up(the landing would be a mini earthquake possibly similar to the island crash with bismark). That jump could coincide with a Coin Toss mech(circles to avoid that become giant coins on impact - jump on top to attack, jump down behind to dodge some moves). Add in a large sweeping knockback attack that sends all the coins flying to clear the field(probly hide behind a pillar and not on a coin to avoid being flung - antiknockback only being an option if you arent in the path of a coin perhaps). Important mechanic: he backs up out of range and charges back with an attack that breaks part of the bridge. Instead of dragonkiller spears, someone can run up one of the towers and direct Godbert to repair part of the damage so that we can cross the broken section. I suppose Julyan could also smack you across the gap with her frying pan or Nashu could bomb you over(i would give either option a downside - damage/stun/being on fire/etc). Yeah, if you really wanted to play it up i bet you could make a fun fight out of this.
Yet the lvl 70 and 90 are great. I think trial design these days is a lot better than what it used to be.
The biggest downside to me is that these hildibrand trails dont have an extreme version. There is quite a lot of potential they could do in these. But them being locked behind hildibrand would lock out a lot of players.
In this case its a good one, not all jokes must be thrown into the face. Sometimes only having a few notice it is enough to make it worth it
Just let Hildi content be fun sidecontent, without it wrecking the main lore with aliens and crap. Thats all I ask.
If you want to make FFXIV into funny japanese gag boing boing sound-effect game, then just state it in the next liveletter.
I swear those gag comedy bits almost ruined Y'shtolas character so much that even Yoshi P told them to stop.
Despite having 3 Gilgamesh fights already, I'm sad that none of them include an extreme version. If we do fight him again, I demand that they add an extreme version with various weapons from past games for drops and Wings of Enkidu for the mount.
Probably the incantation to summon the Nixie which she also states she put together when she was a child(I may be a little off on this, but I recall Y'sh started training under Matoya when she was 7) and hadn't used it or anything similar since, and she actually took the time to revise when she realized she might need it again.
Not just VIII, PuPu has so many appearances in FF media they have their own wiki page listing them all, up and including a Kingdom Hearts cameo as a Gummi Ship blueprint in KH1FM and KH2.
The only alien concept that Hildy introduced was the concept of the Mandervillians, and even then, let's be real, that existed primarily to poke fun at people who try too hard at trying to figure out a logical explanation to Manderville endurance, and Godbert and Julyan's strength, they just give this whole elaborate explanation, and then go "Nah it doesn't count".
You see, that's a cool idea so it's probably not gonna happen this expansion. sorry pal.
We're gonna need an updated version of Battle on The Big Bridge theme for it.
Unpopular opinion, imo, hildi is overused and they need to find a new gag to beat into the ground, dig up, and beat further into the ground.
