What's with the weird beard "shine" on male roegadyn and hrothgars?

This is one of many examples. Apparently it's been an ongoing issue since the Benchmark came out and I was only able to find a SINGLE thread about this that went pretty much ignored at the time.

This issue is pretty noticeable, especially on hrothgar and roegadyn that stick to darker colors. It's like the beards are made of a completely different material related to the hair. Even modders tried to address this and a solution wasn't properly found from what I could see online. It's such a bizarre thing because this was not an issue whatsoever prior to Dawntrail's release. The beards and hairs perfectly complimented each other.

I haven't posted in the Forums for a while, so if there's a better place to talk about this please let me know. (I'll also try to get more examples.)

I've noticed it a lot with my fem hroth's eyebrows. They have a weird greasy look to them. I'm guessing it has something to do with the new lighting? I was hoping they'd fix it, since I've seen a few complaints from other users regarding the issue with 7.0x's lighting and shadows.

If it’s only happening to beards with darker colors, I wonder if it’s the same problem that makes dark skin shiny too.

This issue happens on certain fur colors, beard colors for certain races, and hair colors--but not on all hairstyles--for some reason. Female Highlander racial hair seems to have the same exact problem, as an example. I'm not sure what could be causing this, but it's an issue affecting many assets for character models, so I hope they actually take thorough note and fix it.

It also happens to my male midlander, who has the "old face" and has black hair.

His afro lookS fine , but his beard has this strange gloss on it that looks awful to be honest.

The beard issue is visible even on the lodestone picture (below), but it looks way worse ingame (small indie company, look forward to 8.0, I know...)

Absolute injustice

I have a feeling this is the kind of issue that will go unresolved forever, lol.

New patch and all that, and this still isn't fixed. It's only been 276 days, more if you count all the "testing" done with the Benchmark.

Nearly a year since I posted this... and still no fix.

Did you actually post it in bug reports? It's this side of the forum.

I know the gap in the water has been fixed, I didn't check on Yotsuyu. (they don't move some threads to resolved/fixed often)

Worst case scenario is that it'd get thrown into 'not a bug' (and it's a feature of the lighting engine), then at least you'd know it won't be fixed.
I'd say things like lighting, weather, maybe time of day might be important/different angles etc. If it's a cutscene then saying which cutscene it is and so on.

It could get accepted/planning to address but you won't know when, but at least it's on their radar depending on how high/low of a priority it is. If it's affecting player/npc models I think it might be higher priority.
