About Chaotic Cloud

Dear Square Enix Team,

I want to give a small glimpse into what is currently transpiring in your game. I do this because I am under the impression that you might not know and may wish to act on it. Have a look please.

This is just a small excerpt of the sickening madness, discrimination and hysteria that has crept its way into party finder ever since the release of Chaotic Cloud 8 days ago.

Are you okay with this happening? Did you plan for this to happen? I'm really only looking for a straight answer from a reliable source here since I cannot believe that you have not foreseen that this would happen.

Don't prog lie then. Practice all previous mechanics until you personally are able to pass them 95%+ of the time. Or make your own party.

I mean, the "duty incomplete" stuff is quite the move to farm crystals. However, again, at some point, people do need to take some personal responsibility for how they spend their time.

I agree or if the person hasn't cleared it in let's say 2 months due to irl stuff and was busy. I would throw up a practice party to unrust and then clear

do you just blame people having requirements ? btw PF is always looking like that and i understand everyone after raiding in pf for years now.

Why are there so many people complaining about this? Why did you even point out the "Discord mandatory" one? It's toxic to want communication now?
My brothers and sisters in Hydaelyn, just start your own pf with your own requirements (or without requirements if you think that's too toxic). And as one of the above comments has stated already, just don't lie about your own progress in the fight. It happens CONSTANTLY and it absolutely wastes 23 other peoples limited time. That's why you got those pf descriptions in the first place.

What's the problem?

Apparently if you're recruiting someone to fix a leak it's toxic to require them to understand plumbing.

The same way you check if someone is indeed at a prog point or lying about it.

They don't; there's no achievements for clearing the fight 5 and 10 times, so there's no way to check.

I got some eye opening news for you...

It's only natural. People don't want to waste their time being sabotaged by prog liars who think they can get carried through the fight without understanding mechanics.

If you don't know the fight, make a practice party.

People are frustrated by teammates that can’t do mechanics in a fight where mechanics need to be done, but now there’s 23 other people that can screw up instead of 7 other people. The probability that someone in your team is either trolling or overly optimistic about their performance is a lot higher.

Back in Endwalker I spent a week throwing myself UWU party finder every day, ready to clear, and only rarely getting a team that could even make it past the fight’s halfway point. Is it “sickening madness, discrimination and hysteria“ if someone doesn’t want to be in a situation like that? When someone only wants to clear then should they be forced to spend hours helping liars prog?

There’s no ideal solution to this situation and stuff like this is the only option to at least try to not get people that lie and waste your time.

Just make your own parties. These ones don’t sound like people you want to play with.

Since I'm progging and reclearing this chaotic in PF right away since start, I really understand them descriptions.
Like others already said: get ur things straight, be realistic about ur progg, don't bully others who are consistent.
Otherwise there are multiple PFs for progg XY mechanics so far.
And using any Discords for better communication, I don't see any problems.

the problem with discord mandatory is that not everyone have it nor use it and threatening people to blacklist and kick on single wipe isnt really welcoming too I do get that you wanna clear but if you pf and someone make a mistake it happen. I also will say this people who always said respect people time you play a MMO you have to respect everyone time and might have to take that your time isn't the only thing that matter. Also using a thing that is made to be toxic with 10+ clear is sorry but is toxic and the fact that anyone agree make you as toxic sadly because it is a illegal tools against player.

BA and others had one, i bet that is on purpose so we cant check lol

A few days ago i am finally done with this raid, I have farmed 124 demi materia to buy the mount and hairstyle, i must say the drop rate for these things is way too low. i think i have seen the Pet only drop ONCE and you can not buy it for materia.

Overall the Fight is not that difficult, but it has a few mechanics that are just absurd or feel unfair for a 24 man.

#1 Towers
You need exactly 3 people for each tower on the sides, but you only got 6 players, there is very little to no time to adjust, combined with looming chaos mechanic that swaps all players positions.
If you have dead players, looming chaos will screw you over and then the assigned towers will most likely not resolve.
If you fail the towers, they explode and hit everyone of the entire alliance raid, which means multiple tower fails stack and wipe you instantly,
It has become a common strategy to use the Tank LB on the second set of towers, even when no one is dead, just in case.
Maybe the towers should only explode in a local area instead of hitting the entire raid.


2# The Tiles, The tiles breaking and instantly killing you because someone does a wrong step at the wrong moment leads to huge frustration, especially when you learn the boss, you can never know when someone will move to refresh his tile
I would suggest a more lenient time before the tiles break if two players step on the same one, maybe 3 seconds to adjust instead of <1 second.

3# Resurrections in general:
If someone falls down , his body almost always spawns at the wrong location, i think in general all players spawn at the east side, but their bodies should spawn at their assigned party positions
Party A = West, Party C East, Party B is a bit weird because they are in the middle, so either side is okay.
The Atomos Teleport should always face forward from your character, instead of a random direction, it is really difficult to aim properly otherwise, i have seen many people teleport into the abyss and die again.

...the more i read about that fight, the more im glad i decided to skip it.

But i still say, one party should never be able to wipe the alliance, at least not that easily. Like the Ice back then at Cid. At least you could tank LB or something to survive and pick up the corpses...

I think the fight could have been better and the massive problem with it is mostly if there is to much corpse before phase 2 goodluck surviving phase 1 I think was super fun I still think they should have kept the fight there and add more at that point

if you actually try to pf this fight you will understand why people put shit like this in the description more often than not you will have people that cant do mechanics joining and wasting 20+ peoples time and when you are trying to get things done eventually you will run out of patience and put stuff like this in the description not that it helps people still come in and grief most of the time so maybe try to pf the fight and gain some perspective

the hairstyle is 27m on the market
0 pfs for it in 7.2
dont think ive noticed one person ingame with the actual armor sets

they really just keep making more dead on arrival content thats for the savage base and no one else huh

This disappoints me really. Everyone knew that 7.2 was going to end Chaotic but I actually enjoyed it, I enjoyed Chaotic more than the savage I've played. In a similar way to M2S and Halo 1 on Heroic/Legendary Chaotic felt hard and punishing but fair, M6S doesn't give me that experience, might be my skill level though.

As much as I don't agree with the overall degree of gatekeeping people use in PF (see also the "passport checking" pandemic this raid tier), it is the end result of people joining parties when they don't have the experience the description asks for. Nothing's stopping anyone from just making a fresh or even blind prog listing. They just fill slower and have a much higher failure rate which is a deal-breaker to some.

I got dropped from a discord last tier because I mentioned I'd cleared the tier on my main and one of them threw a hissy-fit over some Tomestone thing then booted me because they couldn't handle the idea that they might have scooped up a player with more experience on a fight than them. There's arguments to both extremes. For my part, I just wanna play the game. Because it's a fun game when that chocobo dung isn't happening.
