I wonder if us Legacy players will get unique "starting quests" for ARR's launch?

From what I can assume from the trailers, the adventurers of this era are basically getting Fairy Tail'd until the new realm is born. Which makes me wonder if we as the Legacy adventurers are gonna get introduced to this new world differently compared to new players.

For example, a string of quests dealing with you arriving in the new world.

It'd be cool if we were put in our starting town, or wherever Lousioux teleports us, the Archons would check if you're okay, your GC leader would summon you, and from there on, we'd be told:

"Check out this new place to see how it looks, levequests are different, we have new leaders for certain things, you can still make Momodi's Charming Chokers, you don't have to parley 4 NPCs in the WVR30 quest, etc."

It'd be neat if NPCs knew my character was from the previous Era and wonders if I could maintain myself in the new world of dangers and adventure.

Yeah, I really gotta stop drawing these Fairy Tail comparisons.

ya i love this idea of npc knowing i was from the pass and help save everyone and stuff :) that be awesome.

Could also explain your character's sex change and how it happened.

There's bound to be an explanation on why our characters are different (if it applies) in the new realm.

They'll probably say that new players traveled through time too.

ya i see that happening but sadly it should not because everything now is a live event all the new players did not see the CS and did not do half what we did in 1.0 version. But i agree it just too much work to make two diff storyline for diff players lol.

I would imagine everyone will get the same opening, the new people joining will have been taken out by Louis as well. It's not like the new players who will play old characters just come into being, they must have been in the game world to get to that age.

Hmm, don't like the idea of new players basically being "oh btw, you got timeskipped even though you didn't do anything."

New players that start when ARR launches are fresh adventures born after the Seventh Umbral Era started, so they'll be about the same age as us Sixth Astral adventurers. I suppose.

What Square Enix need to do is to summit a huge list of changes to everything in the currect version. From Items, to Quests, to Boss fights. They need to re-add all the ??? spots on the map now for every quest. Really want to see what content there removing from 1.0.

Will players be able to do Boss fight in 1.23.. in 2.0. Huge amount of questions. I'm sure Square Enix is overwhelmed. I'm sure they mapped out everything but they still need to do ton of those adjustments.

From what I understand is that the main scenario continues when ARR launches, and the original main scenario (with the city-state quests) is being altered slightly.

What would make sense is that Seventh Umbral Era players basically do the quests we did, with some changes. While the Sixth Astral Era Legacy players get transitioned back into the main scenario by a few quests to where Fade to White left off after we arrive in the new world.

Well they could just be people that weren't killed by Dalamud, it's not like it's gonna kill everyone on the planet.

Ehh, people always want to be special snowflakes ;)

As far as story goes, new players will probably be treated the same as us, there will be no huge differences post 2.0.

Maybe everyone will have their memories of that time mysteriously erased.

It will be simplier to treat every player the same way, but I think it'd be a little...unfair for all of us.
I think Legacy Players should be rewarded for supporting the game all this time.

In fact, It'd be fair to give us lots of things that new players can't have. For example, job quests are issued by certain NPC that will teach you some abilities and reward you with Artifact Armor (Although some of them are crap). Imagine if these NPCs dies at the fall of Dalamud, who will be there to pass the "ancient art of <insert_job_name>" to the newbies ?

Of course, there will be another version of warrior, white mage, etc..., but an artificial one, giving them a little less power. Not enough to create a balance issue, but enough to say "Thanks to all the players who believe in the dev team"

Or...WE can be the one to teach the lore of ancient jobs, through a mentor system.
