The free trial is pretty solid in retrospect-

of 6.x and 7.x!
right now the free trial of the game is still a really solid way to play ff without running out of things to do. think of it as like, a hardcore/ironman mode for XIV. albit lesser. No trading, no fc help. just NN, your own gil your own crafting and your own grinding. and the achievements from DD will net you some good respect. i kinda feel like with free trial making use of player time better and having less inventory solving, that everything becomes more important. the inventory management alone is a nightmare. and i do wish they'd design the game to be less AFK simulator.


If you've never tried the free trial, you could always give it a go.

I think you've lost it.

This is nearing WoW 'no bro trust me classic is so much better than retail' levels of cope.

I mean you could just willingly not do all of these things without going Free Trial on a new account.

1.) Make a new character
2.) Don't join any FC, hide any chat options you shouldn't have access to, deny every trade request
3.) Only wear gear you found or made yourself (or low quality vendor gear)
4.) Keep your gil capped by sending any excess gil to a retainer that will hold onto your gil until you are done with your Ironman challenge

The idea is cool, but you don't need to be Free Trial to do so.

Free trial is a solid deal for what you get, but it is in no way a replacement for having the full game, no matter how drab 6.0 and 7.0 are.

Literally 0 reason whatsoever to do free trial if you have a full account. Everything you've mentioned with respect to Ironman can be done regardless of free trial or full account.

and I am sorry but very few people actually care for those that have a DD achievement. Most people don't even pay attention to titles or achievements.

Sindrii's pretty much hated the game from the day they started. I really don't know why they stick around, aside to complain about a game they never liked, and insist that it be turned into a game it isn't.

strange i dont think somebody who hates the game has 22k hours of play time, and sevral posts asking for the game to improve. id think if somebody hated a game theyde ;leave, but then if you really did interprit that as hating the game, i too would be consfused why i still play
