Intense Desync in the New A-Raid

As it says on the tin, I haven't been the only one experiencing it, right?
I have a device that runs on maximum settings no problem, and even with everyone's affects turned off but my own, it has issues -- this isn't a problem with literally any other kind of content, and it's comparable to Frontline Lag in PVP. Frontlines also clear up within the first few seconds of initial combat.
I get wanting big pretty new graphics and stuff, but...seems like there's some sort of weird issue going on since a lot of my frequent companions run into the same issues, and they're running on similar devices as I am.

Haven't noticed anything abnormal in it, no. I use max settings as well.

I have Graphics settings turned up to Maximum, Self effects on All, Party effects on Limited, Others on None, and... I've experienced no issues in any content. The new Alliance Raid has been fine, and I didn't even know that "Frontline Lag" was a thing until I saw this post. :shrug:

I ran the current Alliance Raid today with no issues after upgrading to Windows 11 Home version 24H2, for what that's worth.

I've heard of people having some issues with FF14 after upgrading Windows11 to 24H2.

Frontline lag?
Hmmm I started experiencing something strange in FL, the enemy team sometimes doesn't load for me or like I rubber band??? Is that what it is?
I'm not sure I experienced something like that in the new alli raid, but it did feel laggy for me for some reason...

Pc specs and resolution you are running would help. I haven't noticed any issues (and I don't have the FL lag experience), nor have I heard of any issues from friends, so I doubt this is a game issue per se.

I haven't experienced it, but someone in the raid last time I ran it was complaining about this. Only happened to them in Jeuno.

I haven't personally experienced any issues at all in the new Alliance Raid. I'm also running on Max Settings.

I have similar issues and it happens exactly with Jeuno and Frontlines, but I wouldn't call it desync as much as it feels like animations aren't loading in time, they are still happening and I can do the fight just fine if I ignore visual cues, and it catches up after a minute or two.

My PC is pretty old, so I always attributed it to that, but those two are the only times this this happens, I understand with Frotlines because it has to load so many characters, but Jeuno being the only Alliance Raid this happens is annoying.

I put together a new PC for DT and I'm on max settings and haven't had anything like that happening in the alliance raid.

Max Settings and it works flawless on both my machines

1. Ryzen 7800X3D X670E-E GF4080S, 64GB
2. i7 6850K X99 GF1080ti, 64GB ( lesser FPS but quite above the 70-85+ FPS range )

As with most MMOs in crowded places the server can't handle the best load to all and downs you a bit, but not feeling it to the level you describe on either machine...

If running windowed mode, you could try and go Fullscreen. with the new DLSS and FSR Setting you can try and set it to run at max FPS all the time,,,


Function is in System Config - Resolution - Frame Rate Treshold - set to always enabled.

Maybe I should've started with what I'm running, yeah...

I would be very surprised if it was an issue with being in Borderless Windowed because it wasn't an issue ever before, considering I have to keep it that way to keep my Blue Light Filter Running...

I'm really relying on the event chat's log of the attack callouts for the first "WAIT FOR IT...", etc, to try to clear mechs. It GENERALLY stabilizes about halfway through that fight though, which is really really weird...otherwise I'm not playing animations properly, but everyone else is.
