Framer's Kits from Jonathas - Do they need to be unlocked?

In Meoni's video he has 4 framer's kits.

I only have the Western Reach and Eastern Reach. The two Kugane ones are not showing

A friend of mine can't see any of them.

Both of us have finished through 7.0 MSQ and we have both done all beast tribes for previous expansions. We can't think of what content could be needed to unlock these, so I'm wondering if this is a bug.

I didn't check the video, but I have all four available to me.
Did you do the final combo beast tribe quests? I also don't know what the flag for it is.

Yep did that.

I heard that those are from having the achievements of killing the World Bosses of Stormblood.

Having the same problem here. Up to date on current MSQ and everything, and a friend who has done all of the same content with me barring some extra stuff like HOH and Bozja/Eureka only has the Reach and Kugane ones...

Do you mean the FATE bosses? I remember killing Ixion and Tamamo, but I don't think I did any S-rank hunts and had all 4 kits available.

Yes, most are tied to achievements. One of the fishing ones is tied to big fishing

Well MsQi's character is missing the Foxy Lady FATE achievement (Naughty Girls Need Love, as Well). But they do have the Ixion one (Ride On).
I cannot tell about asingularsock there, non-public achievements.

Yes, Fate Bosses are World Bosses.
But it is just a rumor I heard, cannot confirm.

Even more with people already pointing out that it may not be truth.

Someone commenting on the video said they had the two Kugane ones but not the Reach ones.

There is a lot of side content I haven't done but I have done all the regular side quests through Endwalker. I did Doman Enclave. I didn't complete Stormblood sightseeing but neither did I complete it for Endwalker. I don't remember doing any world boss FATES for Endwalker.

I wish they would just have everything showing on vendors but grayed out if you are not eligible. Then if you try to buy it a message saying "Must complete 'blah, blah blah'" should pop up.

Posting the responses in the video, since there is actual troubleshooting and comparing of situations, instead of guesswork.

Various combos of people with 2 or none or all 4 framers kits (its sounding more like a bug, but could be savages or world bosses).

the framers kits arent available to me :( guess there are some achievements i havent done but i dont know which ones are needed

judging by the names, I can only assume you have to have Stormblood either reached or completed to buy them.

Im over 13k achievement points, and only Commerce and Leisure kits available. No western or eastern reach kits. And of course the patch notes are too slim to describe this change, so unsure if this is a bug, or working as intended. Maybe need to finish 7.1 MSQ? Maybe associated with Stormblood Savages? ive completed most everything else.

@ProfessM This is good Info. I can tell you i have completed EVERY side quest (there are no quest icons on my screen in any zones), save for 1 bozja quest and the heavensward crafting tool. So I doubt this is tied to a specific side quest, as I have done those. I will go through Stormblood zones again and check, but I think its gotta be a hidden flag tied to an achievement (like clearing Stormblood Savages, I didnt do those).

Kugane ones are locked behind Foxy Lady achievement.
Reach ones are locked behind Ride on (Ixion) achievement.

You can see that in game, by checking the list of available frame/accent/background list in your portrait edition.

This appears to be correct. I can confirm I got 2 of the 4 Frames in question here, and I do have Naughty Girls Need Love, as Well achievement (Foxy Lady) but do not have Ixion.
