it doesnt work. that last post had three hyperlinks inside [IMG] yet 2 of them disappeared completely, and the last clearly was in the wrong format

is there some kind of lock on accounts with low post count that just makes images not show up?

I have a really hard time believing I havent managed to succeed in posting a single image for what is literally copy paste in the box prompt

okay, I can post images by linking my image to a page. Having a random kind person post the image. I then quote their copy of my image in order to post it

You were linking the Imgur page, not the picture itself. The link generally has to end on the file type, in this case on .png

To get the correct URL you do a right click on the image iself and choose "Copy Image Link"

Then you paste the link between the [img] brackets.

Yo can also right click on the image and choose "Open Image In New Tab", to visualize what you are doing a bit better. In that tab there should be nothing else on the screen than the image itself.

Add .png after your imgur links, that will do it!

Right click on the picture on imgur, copy address. It should normally work here on imgur but on some websites it doesn't, so you can alternatively right click > open the picture in a new tab and grab the url from there to be sure.

This isn't working cause this links to a website, not the actual image.
You have to right click the image and view in a new tab.

Sadly I couldnt think of any way to prevent needing to ask for advice for the next person with the same issue.

The imgur page itself is accepted as an image URL by some systems like discord, and imgur's page share buttons all reuse the same URL rather than the specific image URL that is needed here.
Additionally, This forum doesnt tell you that you did something wrong. It posts a blank sizeless image.
